31 Derful Shades of Me - Kamesha Codner

    31 Derful Shades of Me

    31-Derful Shades of Me

    Introduction

    Hello my darling loved ones,

It's the 1st day of October and the start of my wonderful b'day month. This birthday is quite significant as it's the last of the calendar birthdays. I sat and thought...what better way to celebrate me and the gift of life that God has so preciously bestowed on me for the last 31 years, than to do a daily newsletter celebrating just that....MY LIFE.

So since October has 31 days, and yours truly will be 31 ( yes I admit it, not 16, not 25, but 31 *:P tongue ) this month, I thought a fitting theme will be '31-Derful Shades of Me'. I hope that you will enjoy reading this as much as I hope to enjoy penning it...so here goes.

The pics attached are from a very old passport and are some of the youngest pics I have...right Venice Stephenson? She frequently reminds me when I moan about the lack of the baby pics that I hated the camera as a child (can't quite believe that as it's the complete opposite now) and would cry when I saw one, hence so few pics. My retort is always, 'better a crying, baby picture than none at all.' She is forgiven nonetheless. Love you loads Mom. *:-* kiss

I look at this little girl and I am amazed sometimes. She seems so serious and pensive and I can't for the life of me figure out/remember what she had to be so serious about. As a young adult, I think if I met her now, I would like her and man oh man, would have so much to tell her and advise her about. She has so much promise and potential and I so want to say to her....smile a bit more love, as it's going to be fine.

The pics remind me of the early start of my education and how I hated school from day 1...lol, lol. It also reminds me of some people in my life that I met at that age and stage and are still in contact with, even to this day. We will address this in more detail, another day in the friendship edition.

These pictures also unearths memories of Saturday hair-washings (hated that too) and the inevitable Chiney-Bump hairstyle afterwards, trips to Disney World, annual birthday parties, childhood games such as skipping, Dandy-Shandy, Baseball and the list goes on....the sweet life of a kid.

She had it good...didn't she? Well let's see where she went from there, so join me tomorrow as we discover another shade of Tammy.

Be well my darlings  *:-* kiss

    Technical Difficulties

    Good morning Y'all ,

My humblest of apologies (one of my Grandma's fave expressions) for the non-delivery of yesterday's edition. We were experiencing some technical difficulties but we now resume our regular programming....hehehehehe
