This book of poems is dedicated to everyone that has encouraged me over the years to keep writing and to publish my work.   I sincerely thank all of you.   What a journey this has been. The ability to do this is a gift and for those of you that have helped mold this talent, inspire me, and influence the clarity of my thoughts, I am eternally grateful. It’s my hope that these poems will elicit a response from deep down in your soul and move you to live life everyday to the fullest.

Along the way, we often meet people that have a profound affect on our lives. I have been so fortunate to do that. I've let my imagination roam freely to create words and moments in time that are laced with heart felt, raw emotions.

A friend once said, Often times, we are unaware of the life altering moments while in them.  This has been one of those moments for me.

Awakening

Words blown by the wind

Sing out in the darkness

Searching for a restless soul.

A flicker of light

Escapes from beneath my half shut eyes

Leading to my exposed emotions.

A dream in process or is it?

Aroused by phrases being whispered in my ears

I find myself being dragged away into the night

Rendered defenseless by ordinary words.

Kidnapped by a poet.

Held captive by thoughts that once lay dormant

Emotions confronted by words

Both await a turn to state its case

Before a jury of other restless souls.

Tossing from side to side

The verdict is read

The voice so hauntingly clear.

Release me and you will release yourself.

The voice is my own

Kidnapped by a poet from within.

Release me.

Inevitable

Emotions, Desires,

Go unrestrained.

Untamed,

Uncensored,

Unbearable

Urges are intensified.

Attraction,

Mystery,

Pulls us closer Together.

Speechless,
