    Chapter 1: Meaning and Definition of Sports Training

    Whenever we talk about training in any field whether its Information Technology field, Teaching, banking, government’s policies, advocate, doctor etc. every profession has its own preparatory training but sports is the only profession which is entirely based on planning, preparation scientifically saying ‘training’. Let us begin with the history of training then sports training As we see the training or building up the physical or to show powers ancient emperor used to have strong army or their territories to rule which also signifies the power in front of the world, there is started, Olympics’ history itself is tells us that to establish and build army and their solider war ready ruler used to train them physically. The journey of training is begun since then, showing prowess and supremacy above all made training more competitive and also became the sign of Power.     

    Origin of any of the sports is with some purpose and there is some specific motive and lesson through the playing, Every sports is different from each-other hence its fitness requirements also differ, basic fitness with all fitness components which we will be discussing in next chapter (strength, endurance etc.) shall remain the same, after analyzing the specific need of the sport an athlete master the skill of particular game. In the few decades sports have raised its charm significantly. The popularity is keep on increasing from there onwards and still continue in the time of league based sports which is making each and every sports more professional, cash-rich and most importantly fast if we take on fitness. As the game is getting more in shorter version the more fitness concerns raises. As we go down to the historical aspects of the Olympic Games we see that sports or games have been increasing steadily.  The games are increasing so as the direct and indirect professions are also keeping their foot commercially to capitalize it. Several new sports which are not part of the Olympics like mount-climbing (popular in Asian countries), sky diving, bunji jumping, skating, motor racing, Go- carting etc. are getting sponsors prominently. Well publicized, e-commercial, e-media are driving factors in making all the sports more interesting and catchy to the spectators as well as the participants which plays a big role in making an event successful commercially. Sport is an integral part of social, cultural and functional heritage of any of the country. Sports directly or indirectly contribute towards the progress and betterment of the particular country, through participating in any of the event brings laurels to the participating nation, participation gives an opportunity to raise their flag in the front of the world because of that only every country prepare for the most awaited games and prepare them for four years apart from the participating in a huge event like this sports plays a vital role in building the nation. Following characteristics can be described contribution of sports directly and indirectly to build the nation fundamentally:-

     Recreation and relaxation of the body Better and friendly atmosphere for the sick, unhealthy and handicapped

    Keeps the nation youthful

    Gives platform for social interaction by incorporating Team Cohesion

    Brings togetherness amongst diverse background people, breed, races, culture and languages.

    Work as a preventive and healing aspects for the people who are suffering from diseases. Helps them to recover fast and actively.

    Provides a social background to the participants to showcase their capabilities and challenge themselves for their wellbeing.

    Teaches Team Building as well as Group Cohesion. 

    Sports activities have its own web which spread and fulfill the aims of good health of human beings.

    Sports performance is not only a glamorous part of sports which keeps spectators and players on their feet but also makes an extravaganzas for the society to come together and be a part of it and also make participants more involved, from regional, states, nationals and International platform which give each and every participant an opportunity to showcase their talent to represent their country/organization with pride. With all such events and gatherings at any level makes the players more socialized. The youth who are more eager to excel by their performance prepare themselves with long and hard training and represent their respective countries to be best amongst all. These scenarios make a sports performance area more mentally challenging and full of excitements. Media coverage and universal exposure have also increased which make the event more successful and popular. The winner shall be idealized by their country’s people; youngsters get inspirations from their heroes to be like them, whole nation feel the joy and encourage them to do better for the country. Loosing and winning puts their country’s pride on stake which brings more energy and guts in the athlete to train better and perform harder.
