    It had traveled up the left side of my neck and wearing turtlenecks all the time was beginning to seem suspicious to those around me.  It was hard enough having to explain the gloves all the time, even though my right hand was surprisingly not afflicted thus far.  The unending questions which I had no answer for continued to flow in like the tide in the evening.  Still, after all the testing and treatments, there was nothing that was solid.  No arguments with any merit.  I still had little idea what was happening to me.  I wasn't even sure if my time on this planet was slowly drawing to a close or if there was still a vague recovery to be had.  I would take it, at this point, no matter what it was.  Even if I had to go the rest of my days with this horrible scarring, I would.  Still not entirely certain how any of it would be explained, but...I'm sure I could come up with something in time.  But, as of now, it was starting to touch my jawline.  Yes, even now, it was peeking up over the top of my turtleneck, no matter how high I pulled it up.  I knew that there was little time left where I could continue to prattle on without getting to the point.  Sooner or later, it would be known.  Shit, it was a miracle I'd kept it concealed up until now.  With little hope of halting the spread.

    The driveway never felt longer than it did that night weeks ago.  Granted, it was rather large to begin with.  An entire tractor trailer could park comfortably in it with room to spare.  A bitch to shovel in the winter, for certain.  Tonight, however, it seemed at least three times its normal length.  It felt like forever since I pulled into
