    Dedication

I humbly dedicate all of these beautiful moments to my family for all their constant support of my writing: bestowing natural, flowered journals upon me that inspired me to write endlessly.

Thank you. I will be forever grateful for your patience, intelligence, and love.

    My family is my world.

    A Message: Part I

    OFF KILTER

How far a road must be traveled

    Before the traveler realizes

That life is full of the surprise

    And full of the old?

And how far must he go

    Before he truly knows

The more he tries to understand the world,

The more there is to know?

    IDENTITY WRITTEN

    Sometimes

    My own mind

    Is my enemy.

    The thoughts

    It constantly

    Tells my heart

    Will never happen.

    My mind is my own

    Barrier.

    It tells me

    I cannot do it

    When my heart

    Says that I can,

    But neither

    Really understand

    That it’s a pen

    I hold in my hand…

    MOONLIT OCEAN

It shines upon the clear blue water,

The tide drifts close and far,

The moon screaming songs of starlight rays

    Reaching for the ocean’s ears,

Pulling it ever closer towards the stage,

So liquid may listen to nature’s way.

    The stars applaud,

    Reflecting in the depths,

Embracing the emotion of rounded waves.

    The creatures within,

    Speckled and dressed

    In pin-point light,

    Begin undulating in response

    To the sight,

    But then…

    Arises another day.

The starlight spotted ocean fades away

To become one bright, gleaming reflector,

    Patiently waiting upon the night,

    To hear the song

    Sung by the ocean’s moonlight.

    EXPRESSION OF SELF

As society conforms beyond the blight,

The world toiling and danger at sight,

Many are rebelling in thoughtless ways,

Seeking perfection by defying the days.

    For our children

Our generation must break the bonds

Of government realism over existential laws.

    Blinded by technology,

    Drifting through binomial thought,

They lack a care they certainly should not.

    If we show our children

What fate, and hardship, and toil can bring,

Open their eyes to how the heart can sing,

    Maybe then,

They’ll look the world in the eye

And announce that beauty can reside.

    ALWAYS A LESSON

    Occasionally escape,

Into the caverns of your mind,

    And see what life’s lessons

    Can help you find.

    AWAKE

    Hello new day!

    Welcome to my mind,

    Walk the path with me

    To nature and design.

Journey to the edges of imagination,

Journey to curiosity and a world of grace,

    Look a beautiful bird

    A talented rose

    A garden of lace!

    Beauty etches the world

    In awesome fabric traced.

    Come with me, journeyer,

    See the lack of haste…

    Be calm, in serenity,

    Dive into the peace,

For there are no worries here:

    Only dreams.

    LOVE WILL ALWAYS CURE

    Do not cry.

    Do not weep.

Do not feel sorry or sad.

Do not let your strength recede.

Do not let your heart break.

Do not bar yourself with immortal locks,

And throw away the only key.

Leave the welcome mat outside your door.

You’ll be surprised how simple a thing can

    Actually cure.

    A hug will cure.

    A kiss will be cherished.

    A little love won’t hurt.

Some cuddling with your dog, isn’t so wrong.

    Just look and you’ll see

    The precious things that’re free.

Let the warmth of love warm the cold inside,

And know that love is many-a-way disguised.

So here’s my prescription for you:

Take the medicine at least twice a day,

And embrace love to lead you on your way.

    A THOUGHT

Maybe it doesn’t have to do with the two
