Preface
I don’t know much, and I have much progress left to do in life. So I always felt like I didn’t have anything like what people mean when they talk about their testimony.
Now I find that I do have a story to tell. It isn’t really my testimony—that is, it isn’t about how I met God. It isn’t much, just words, really. And I have so much more still to do. But it’s my story so far, the story of what I have learned, and for one reason or another, it seems time to tell it. Maybe because someone needs to hear it, maybe to provide context for the rest of my writing, I don’t know.
I also feel the need to mention that I’m not suggesting people pray and do nothing more. This world does have plenty to offer as far as mental health. The same as you would seek medical help for diabetes or cancer, seek it for mental health. But the same as you would look to God during cancer treatment, look to him in all other things, as well.
He is the Creator who made us all, loves us all, never gives up on us, and offers us forgiveness and eternal life with him through the sacrifice of his son if only we will choose to accept the offered gift and follow him. On the journey of getting to know him, read his Word; there you will find his heart for us.
Here are my words, such as they are.
I – The Visible Change
Do you see me?
Are you glad to have seen me?
There was a time when I didn’t want you to see me.
And now that you do and you’re glad you saw,
I’m surprised.
How can this be?
I’m just the same as I’ve always
