Chapter 1
A small brown haired girl with green eyes wearing a sleeveless pale pink dress and a black haired boy with brown eyes wearing a long-pants suit is standing outside of a museum. The little girl looks like she is about 12 years old, and the boy looks to be about two years older than her. The little girl is crying her eyes out. A couple of the museum security guards are leaning down towards her. The little boy is holding the little girl’s hand and telling the guards what’s wrong, We’ve lost our parents, Sir.
Did they go into the museum?
No, Sir. We were following behind our parents, and then my sister had to tie her shoe, so I stayed with her while she finished. The next thing I knew, I couldn’t see our parents anywhere.
The little girl sniffles, Can you please help us find our mommy and daddy?
Sure thing, Love. Which way where they going?
One of the guards asks.
That way,
the little boy points towards downtown. The two guards walk down the street with the little girl and boy.
After about 30 minutes, the little girl screams, There they are!
The two guards see a tall blonde woman, wearing a red satin dress, standing beside a tall gentleman, wearing a double breasted suit. The guards walk up to the couple, We’ve found your children, Sir and Ma’am.
The couple has a puzzled look at their faces, What children?
Your children.
I’m sorry, Sir, but we don’t have any children.
The guards look down towards the children, but they aren’t there. Where did they go?
All of a sudden, another security guard from the museum comes running up to them. Where have you two been?
Why? What’s wrong?
Someone just stole a diamond from the museum.
Somewhere down an alleyway, the little girl and boy are running. Suddenly, they see a black car and a big hefty man with black hair and brown eyes, wearing a double breasted suit, smoking a Cuban cigar, leaning up against the car. The children slow their pace. They walk up towards the guy. The guy blows a puff of smoke into the air and leans down towards the children. Great work children. Did anyone follow you?
The little boy says, No, Pop, nobody saw us. Jackie did a great job.
The little girl smiles.
The man smiles back at Jackie, See I told you, you were a natural.
Jackie blushes. I have something for you, Jackie.
The guy holds out his hand and Jackie sees a beautiful silver chain with a blue shinny stone surrounded by diamond attached to it. The man slips the chain over her head. The blue stone dangles around her neck, but it hangs down to her stomach. Jackie looks up at the man with a pout. Don’t worry, you will grow into it, but make sure nobody can see it. It’s a secret between me, you, and Will.
Jackie nods and quickly tucks the stone underneath her dress. Now go ahead and get in the car. I need to talk to Will.
Jackie nods her head and gets inside of the car.
The man kneels down towards Will. Will, you are my only child. I know that Jackie is not your real sister, but I would like you to treat her as if she is. It’s a miracle you found her, who knows what the police would have done to her.
Don’t worry, Pop. I will take care of Jackie. Even though she is not my sister; I love her like she is.
That is good to hear, son. Now let’s go before the police finds us.
They hurry into the car, and the car drives off.
Chapter 2
Years later, Jackie is 14 years-old and Will is 16 years-old. Jackie has become a great thief. Her and Will get away with a lot of jewels.
One day, Will walks into his dad's office, Pop, can I talk to you?
Will's dad, Mike, is sitting behind his desk. Sure, son. What do you need?
I was wondering, now that I am sixteen...I was thinking of leaving for bigger business.
Well, you are a man now, where were you thinking of going?
I was thinking of going to New York.
"Ah, I hear
