Will and Charlie discover a man living in the woods up on the heath just outside the village. Will decides to help the man and takes him to see the vicar. It turns out that the man has a hidden talent. What will become of him?
Will is eight years old and lives with his mum, dad and his dog, Clive. He spends much of his time with his best friend Charlie who lives in the house on the opposite side of the street and Alexandra, his next door neighbour. Will is a good boy but he does have an unfortunate habit of getting into situations which often go from bad to worse.
The author, Paul Cook, wrote these stories for his eight year old son Matthew to read as part of his homeschooling activities during the COVID-19 lockdown. Matthew enjoyed reading the stories (or he was just being polite) and so Paul decided to share them online. These short stories are suitable for children aged 8-11 years old.

Paul lives in South Wales in the UK with his wife and eight year old son, Matthew. Paul decided to write the 'Will and His Dog' stories during the COVID-19 lockdown for his son to read as part of his home schooling activities, Matthew enjoyed reading the stories (or at least he said that he did) and so Paul decided to share them online. Will hated shopping. He looked forward to the day when he would be old enough to be left at home while his mum went to the shops without him.

Why can’t you order the groceries online? Will moaned one morning as he got into his mum’s car to go shopping.
