    What are you gonna’ do now? Martin Simmons asked Wally Owens as they sat in the bleachers following their high school graduation.

    I don’t know. What are you doing?

    My dad wants me to go to college. He never went to college, so he wants me to do it, Marty replied.

    Where are you gonna’ go? Wally asked.

    I’ll probably just go to the community college. Why don’t you go with me?" Marty inquired with a tinge of hope that their lifelong friendship could continue.

    The two boys met in kindergarten and had remained best friends throughout their lives.

    Wally smirked, Yeah, I don’t think college is for me. My parents keep harping on me to get a job.
