About this ebook

In this world, there are no adults.
Just children, no younger than 10 or older than 16.

They’ve formed a tribe, 1,000 members strong.
There is no government, there are no laws…
There is no anarchy!

What caused world’s destruction,
children inheriting the world?
Apocalyptic war!

No thanks to deranged dotard does civilization collapse, ragtag children are sole remainder.
One of these children is the protagonist,
a 16-year old named Oracle.

Oracle is one of the older children,
a leader and role model for the younger.

She is a salvager,
searches bombed world for defunct machinery.

Tribe’s mechanics work to fix machinery,
for civilization’s revival.

Within tribe, differences mean nothing...
Everyone accepts one another for them.

One day,
Oracle salvages a strange machine no one’s seen before.

She takes it to tribe’s mechanics,
there’s more to it than meets the eye…

Machine holds a secret, what could it be?
Whatever it is, it alters tribe forever!

    1. Today’s Reality

What will the world be like, purged of evil?

I can’t wait to find out, do you feel the same?

Not just purged of evil, purged of life…

    Thanks to retarded dotard,

I’m not sorry for saying that

    I don’t intend to offend,

yet there’s someone in the world I detest…

    Tested daily, fails daily

This is neither who we are nor who we want to become, someone like that speaks for all of us…?

    I can’t accept it,

since when does fiction trump fact?

Since when does the world succumb to war?

    A war of apocalyptic proportions,

    world succumbs to it…

At least this world, not yet ours

Let me make clear, this story is fictional…

Here’s hoping it doesn’t become reality, let’s begin

    A bombed world wallows,

makes me bummed to break news…

    Not fake news, I confirm

    Entire continents crumble to dust,

    cities deserted due to death…

Why do I portray such a future?

Such future we were bound for,

    thanks to adults’ stupidity…

    This isn’t a schoolyard, kids

Nobody survives the bombs, isn’t bombast…

I’ve searched the rubble, devoid of life

This is today’s reality, a world after people…

I just began this story, now I’m ending it?

Nope, there are survivors in this world…

We’ll be introduced later, I’m curious about them

Civilization’s accomplishments are demolished, society descends into chaos… Perhaps anarchy

There is no government, there are no laws…

But there is no anarchy, instead anarchic freedom

Curious, the ability to escape scot-free

    with one’s crimes… Yet they’re not committed

Survivors believe their survival a decision of fate, better they band together instead of fight

Everyone has a role, everyone has a purpose… There is a self, which acts in relation to the whole

    A collective unit,

    a fine-tuned machine of meshed gears…

Make sure they don’t corrode, OK?

For as long as machine operates,

    meshed gears haven’t corroded…

    I credit the gears

Now it’s time for introductions, a group of survivors banded together… That’s called a tribe

We follow one of its members,

    a teenage girl named Oracle…

That’s not her real name, though

    Nobody knows her real name,

    and Oracle doesn’t tell…

Because she neither knows nor cares

Oracle is high on tribe’s hierarchy,

    esteemed by her peers…

Viewed as a leader, a role model

She provides guidance to anyone asking,

wise beyond her years… 16 of them

Her role, scavenge rubble around home base

for useful items… Defunct machinery, mostly

When she brings her findings home,

    tribe’s mechanics analyze them…

    Crack their code

    Tribe comprised of 1,000 members,

    evenly
