Within a laboratory, something slumbers…

Must I rouse it, why me?! …Fine

Environs ethereal, instability instilled every step… unease ubiquitous, unsettling

Added instability, syntax-taxing sentences

pierce without puncture…

everywhere and nowhere

Stentorian tone spasmodic, mixing English…

and hieroglyphic, language defying human tongue

Rumors circulate in hush tones,

complex houses a secret…

changes our world, forever!

Few know of this place, fewer breach it…

None unearth secret, wonder secret’s identity? I do

Laboratory location,

somewhere humans rarely tread… if ever, mysticism aura surrounds it

Sacred grounds seldom marked by footprints, inside and outside complex walls

Inside, multiple deterrents cooperate in deterring secret seekers… Thus far, they are undefeated

Antiseptic reek wreaks havoc on senses,

stress ball stressed beyond endurance

Prolonged exposure causes headaches,

brain squeezed without relent

Complex composed of corridors,

lost meander within…

Frustration yields to yielding, eventually

One deterrent above others, unshakeable…

sense of surveillance, ominous omnipresent

Watched cannot pinpoint watcher, they know themselves watched… Who or what is watching?

Computer calibrated to autonomy, synapses traverse complex tachyon-speed… Sense them?

Ignoring them allows one to understand

what they immerse within… Everything evidence

…Of what, exactly?

Nonhuman hands have hand in events here

Something further developed than humans,

deities incarnate… Awe-inspiring, instant silence

Nonhuman hands created laboratory

and its technologies, perhaps secret in addition

Curiosity, piqued… Secret’s identity inherently unknown, speculation until confirmation arrives

Within corridors, myriad doors appear selfsame… rumors state secret housed behind one

Behind this door, behemoth room…

a laboratory, sparsely decorated by design

Sole decoration, capsule towering above gawking tourist… stunned stupor, stagger backwards

Capsule composed of chilled concrete,

glass saps heat from skin in seconds

Massive tubes at capsule foundation

snake belowground… None know where they go

Capsule filled with green fluid, something submerged within it… Shape familiar, what is it?

…This is much-sought secret?
