About this ebook
This book is about one soul's journey through time and different stages of consciousness. It is told through a series of forty-one poems which are accompanied by stunning graphically designed illustrations. They are spread out between four dimensions or chapters, with each dimension containing 10 pieces of poetry and illustration.
Experience being the first human to walk the earth, the horror of war, the pain of awakening through a storm, the joy of finding love, and the peace of leaving it all behind. You might find that you have already lived some of these moments. Whether in your dreams, or in another time, or in another place.
David Jordan
Hiking, trekking and camping since a young age, David Jordan's earliest memories of walking adventures were family holidays, let loose among trees and fields with a Kodak 'instamatic' camera and notebook. Many years on, little has changed, although the boots are bigger and camera technology has definitely improved. Still the highlights of each passing year are the opportunities to roam, explore, photograph and document what was found. David has hiked and camped extensively across much of the higher ground of the UK, Europe and Norway, as well as the US. A first taste of long-distance walking started with a circuit of the Tour du Mont Blanc in 1992 and led through sections of the Appalachian Trail to a full thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail in 2016. Returning to the Alps David spent four years researching and exploring the Grande Traversata Delle Alpe. In 2023 David hiked the PCT for a second time and became one of fewer than 200 people ever to thru-hike the trail more than once. When not travelling David lives on the Arnside and Silverdale peninsula, a designated 'area of outstanding natural beauty' on the edge of the English Lake District with his wife and dog.

Ambrosia - David Jordan
Elements
The elements of creation combine
The destination of their manifestation is the divine
First Dimension
Adamu
Adamu
Spoke the god of his first made son
I will create others like you
and with the gift that I have given
you will spend your life in worship or it will all be taken from you
Adamu’s eyes could barely see as they were never used before
Looking up from his kneeling position from within the trance that imprisoned
A voice spoke and revealed to him that he must serve his master for he knew nothing else
Weak and feeble was he
Adamu trembled before the god's power
The god rose from his throne and pointed past the horizon
his steely gaze crushing the distance between the space and the burning fire of his obsession
Adamu was barely at the god's knee
Oh how weak and feeble was he
The master spoke once again
Look out into my kingdom
For this will be the land that you will forever farm
your life is mine
what I speak is law and if disobeyed
you will be harmed
Adamu looked out into the valley and saw structures that he could not fathom
All he knew
was that he was unlike his master
this land
or the objects in the heavens
Come
my child
there is something else you need to see
In a flash
the throne room disappeared
Replaced by a chamber of darkness
what he now witnessed turned his stomach
There they were
in pylons of liquid
a form of familiarity that Adamu finally recognized
Beings like him
brothers and sisters
awaiting that breath of life and a place within their master’s creation
His brand-new eyes started to swell
a heavy feeling rising deep from within the well
Adamu
His god exclaimed
It is my will
That in my name
You will be the one to lead
To punish
And to kill
Token
Wise words were once spoken
The token is taken
his young hands are shaking
No one told me it was going to be like this
he said
That's the price you pay
when you taste the bread from the old men that lay
under all that you think you know
You must show
all that you hold close to your soul
I can't take another dose
the young man cried
You must
one of the old men exclaimed
Don't lay blame for you chose this game
Years have flown by
the young man now grey
In the same room where he became seduced
a life of power long lived now reduced to nothing but feeble pursuits
Who walks in but a young reflection of himself
taking the token that he was once dealt
The circle is complete
The young man's soul was never again felt
Alexandria
From the crumbling towers that stood once proud
to the torturous screams of the frightened crowd
Alexandria was sacrificed by Evil’s hand
it pretends to burn the collection of books and treasure from beyond the earthly land
this is no ordinary feat
it is the finest theatrics
and most spectacular illusions
orchestrated by rotten actors with grandiose delusions
Evil executes its plan
history is rewritten and dumbed down purposefully
the serpent's minions
