About this ebook
Even while discussing the idea of a book back in 0’18 before Poetry in Denim, I asked a few friends who knew business, if it would be a good idea to publish books and gift anyone who wanted them, without charges; where the book and I would survive solely on donations.
Because we often do not value the things we get for free, they thought it was a bad idea. But I always wanted to give what I had, out for free, though I did not know what.
Then, in early 2020, while reviewing the book, which would have been Poetry in Denim Vol II, I felt the words were not at par with what I was writing, that I had grown and outgrown the book. So, I had to dispose most of it and start anew.
Thus started the tedious work of compiling what I had written over the years, tedious because, I did not know the volume of words I had written until I started compiling.
And within those I saw, some poems were good but not good enough to make you pay for them, and I did not want to swindle someone who would put enough faith in these words to buy the book.
But make no mistake, since I had to compile a book, I did not have the heart to go halfway. Thus, this book does contain some of the best poems I’ve ever written.
Here I present you the poems rejected from the upcoming book that were precious enough to not throw away, The Rejects.
