More Fun Together - Rod Polo

    Hot Female Neighbor

Harper put out his cigarette on the window pane. He stared out his window and watched as Ruby interacted with the other neighbors. He watched as she then made her way back to her house.

She is really beautiful, I wonder how many guys have made passes at her, Harper thought as he stepped away

He had an entire room of boxes that he needed to get back to and staring at Ruby wasn’t helping. Harper made himself comfortable on the floor and started emptying the boxes one by one.

Most of the boxes represented nothing but memories to him. Some memories he opted not to keep while there were others that he would do or give anything to have with him.

My wedding rings. What good did they do me?  Harper thought as he placed them in the waste box.

The waste box was a box that Harper had created for those memories he wanted to dispense away with.

To Harper, his life was a train of memories that had brought him nothing but a strain of bad luck. The waste box, needed a night of wine and tears, Harper had to create a night for ransacking it then burning up the items that ruined his life.

Harper had gone through a string of unlucky events that had landed him in jail, and stripped away his dignity.

Good riddance with every aspect of my past, Harper thought as he placed the waste box outside the room.

He was done with the room so he felt like it was time to find something less depressing to do. Finding a job would be a great place to start.

Harper walked out the door and locked it behind him. He then made his way down the street while glancing at the notice boards and electric posts checking the advertisements plastered on them.

He needed a source of income now that all his accounts were frozen. He had talked to his lawyers who claimed they were still working on it but his accounts were still at the same state he left them the previous day.

Hi there Mister….. Can I take you out for coffee, he heard a voice behind him say.

Harper turned and saw Ruby looking back at him. She looked graceful which was a weird thing for him to think.

    Um… sorry, I didn’t prepare for any……

Ruby walked to him and took his hand, Relax. I’m buying I promise,

Before he could answer or refuse, the duo were already at the Café’s doorstep with Ruby shouting at the owner.

She then turned back to him and, How do you like your coffee neighbor?

    Decaf.... no sugar please,

As much as Harper wanted to enjoy her company, deep down he was scared as he didn’t know her or anyone in the area that well so he had to stick to what he could afford even with his accounts frozen.

Ruby went ahead and ordered him a cup of coffee and a slice of pie.

The pie made in this place is to die for. Trust me, you will love it,

Harper smiled but prayed that she was serious about footing the bill. That would make him less of a gentleman but at least he was honest.

He then cleared his throat and mentally counted the amount of money he could raise if she decided to run off on him.

"I can raise a twenty and that wouldn’t be enough, oh Harper! If she runs off, you will just offer your services as a dish washer to foot the bill then never show your face around
