Dead people receive more flowers than the living ones because regret is stronger than gratitude.

    THE DAILY ROUTINE

    X

    ‘Wake up!’

    ‘It’s 08:00 AM’

    -the alarm was shouting

If my phone could speak, it would say-'abey yaar ab toh uth jaa, it’s the 28th time you’re snoozing the alarm’

‘Jab utna hi nahi hai toh muje kyu set kiya tumhe utaane ke liye, meri maa ab toh uth jaa’ ‘Meera , wake up !

It’s already eight. When would you get ready and go to the college?’ - A voice popped from the living room.

‘Oh no! I’m late again’ – struggling to get down off my bed, I went to the washbasin to brush my teeth.

Looking at the mirror, I’m talking to me .... "Hello! I’m Meera

    Age 18"

    A physiotherapy student from Hyderabad

A telugu speaking (also hindi english and Tamil too) normal simple girl whose life is boring’

Welcome to another boring day of my boring life

With the same daily routine and the same me thinking -' kaash aaj tho kuch achaa air interesting ho jaaye life mein’"

Being low, I got ready and I’ve put on my so called MAKEUP ...... a daily using cream, kajal and lip balm.

‘So called’ because, people always annoy-'why so much of makeup and lipstick to college? Is it

Necessary?’ ...while I just applied lip balm!

And lip balm is not ‘makeup'

‘Mom, I’m leaving!’ I shouted simultaneously wearing my sandals

My mom blocked my way and staring at me with one raised eyebrow and said -' where? Without completing your breakfast?’

    ‘Mom please, I’m already late’

‘You should think about this before you snooze the alarm 28 times. Now come and eat!’ she said.

    Yes, she’s my mom.

She never left us without eating and can’t see if we were hungry and so, I’m lucky to have a mom like her.

I had my breakfast and left for college

My dad dropped me to the bus stop and left for office. I was waiting for the bus.

It’s been 15 minutes and I couldn’t see at least one bus coming

‘Damn! My college can’t even provide a college bus, what would they do with the fee we pay them’- I said to my self

Yes, you’re thinking right, I got a seat in a reputed government physiotherapy college and as we all know how government colleges are and we don’t have a college bus as many of the students are hostellers.

It takes 2hrs to reach the college by RTC services

Later, I went to the college and as usual we did all other things like eating, sleeping, enjoying,

Etc...except studying. My friends and me completed our lunch before the lunch break and was talking random shit about people just to time pass.

After few moments, our CR came and announced ‘all of you get to your places, we have class at 1PM PT orthopaedics, and sir is about to come’ and the class started at and lasted up to one and a half an hour and sir left.

The college timings were 9am to 4 PM

All of us left to our respective places at 4pm

I’ve reached to home by 5:30 pm

Mom fed me with some fritters as an evening snack

And we all had our dinner at 8pm and then went to sleep this is my routine boring life.

    *****

The next morning I was again waiting for bus while listening to some songs.

I was listening to ‘chaudivin ka chaand' which was my favorite.

I like old songs and mostly that of Mohammed rafi and kishore Kumar, udit narayan and SP.Bala Subramanyam.

While listening, I just turned my head to the left and I saw a man with a mask around his face.

I could only see his eyes.

But there was a strange feeling while I was looking into his eyes.

    Thoughts crossed over my mind.

    ‘He’s hungry!

    Is he?

Should I give him my tiffin?

    What if he’s not hungry?

    It might be awkward...’

But I had a strong instinct that he was hungry and I could feel that in his eyes.

At that time my bus arrived.

I fastly took my lunch box and kept on his lap and quickly went towards the bus.

    I’ve reached college by time.

And there was a heavy schedule today with n number of classes and seminars.

By the time I’ve reached the bus stop in the evening I missed my bus and took an auto rickshaw.

I’ve reached home and went to freshen up myself.

As soon as I come out and see, my mom was searching my bag.

‘Mom what are you searching’ I asked

Where’s your lunch box?  My mom asked

‘Ahh ...well..I..I gave it to someone else.’ I said in a hesitating tone

‘Then what did you ate in the afternoon?’

‘I ate in the canteen mom'- I replied

‘Okay but what’s the need of leaving your box there, it’s a TUPPERWARE box’ Said my mom in a high voice

    A typical Indian mom Haha

‘Ok now just leave it mom, I’m going to bed, good night’ – I said and went to sleep.

This routine continued throughout my BPT – bachelor of physiotherapy.

And time, days, weeks and months just passed like a wind.

    THE FIRST MEETING

    X

Slowly opening my eyes while simultaneously stretching my body, I took the phone and saw the time with my half opened eyes.

The time was 08:00 am -I looked at the phone with blurred vision...

    ‘Oh no!

    I’m late again

Mooooooommmmmm why didn’t you wake me up’ I got off my bed and went to my mom shouting

‘Podhuna podhunne enduku ala arusthunnav pichi kukka laaga'- my mom yelled in Telugu, which means ‘why
