We love to give gifts to our children, and if you are a grandparent, then you know how delighted it makes you feel. But the greatest and most lasting gift we can give to them is to be an example of Godliness by aligning faith into this future bloodline or legacy.
The material things we leave our children are temporary; however, our legacy of imprinting His Word into their hearts and being the right Godly examples can make a significant impact on them for a lifetime and the generations that follow- And this is the greatest blessings and joy that will come as we see this come to pass in their lives.
Nowhere in the Bible does it say that the church is the key or has the responsibility to pass on faith to the next generation. In fact on the contrary, it makes it very clear that parents and grandparents are the principal conduit, to train and instruct their children about God and His love for them.
God’s instruction manual on bringing up children is very clear in Deuteronomy 6:5-7. According to God’s word, God wants parents and grandparents to focus on passing on a godly legacy to the future generations.

This is part of the legacy that we are passing on through these precious darlings to help build a faith line of future generations.

As I look back now and see how much the Lord has blessed us, I can't help but be like King David and say as he did in 2 Samuel 7: 18-22:

Then Gerard went in and sat before the LORD; and he said: Who am I, O Lord GOD? And what is my house, that You have brought me this far? And yet this was a small thing in Your sight, O Lord GOD; and You have also spoken of Your servant’s house for a great while to come. Is this the manner of man, O Lord GOD?
