Weird Dream
I had the craziest dream last night,
I say.
Vigga, Frida and I are on our way to my place, after school. We are dragging our bikes so we can talk. I am in the middle.
You did?
Frida looks excitedly at me. I can never remember what I’ve dreamt … Maybe I don’t dream at all.
Of course, you dream!
Vigga says. Everyone dreams, and you can train yourself to remember them.
Right,
Frida says. And why would I do that?
You’re not really asking me that?
Vigga huffs.
What? Why?
Frida looks wonderingly from me to Vigga.
I smile.
When we dream, our brain works … you know … with the experiences and emotions we’ve had during the day.
Exactly!
Vigga says. Dreams are messages for us from our subconscious.
Frida looks at us as if we were aliens, but suddenly her expression changes, and her face looks all wrong.
Oh no,
she says. I actually remember a dream now. It was really weird. You’d probably think I’m crazy …
Vigga smiles, encouragingly.
Dreams are often pretty weird. I once dreamt that I was walking around school, naked. Everyone looked, but I didn’t care!
