The book is written by Jolly J Sen who has Corporate world Experience of over 25 years and then as Entrepreneur of about 10 years. He has worked in Top Indian and MNC companies sand has a first hand experience of CXO level decision making. He has handled large Business as Business Head. He has experience in both Indian Management decision making process as well as American MNCs. Jolly is an MBA of 1983 batch. This book has been written drawing all his experience across multiple geographies and multiple functional areas of Operations and Sales/Marketing.
While the whole world is afraid of the Pandemic and the economic fallout of disruption of businesses, the book looks at the opportunity this offers for rebuilding the organization as per market needs. It considers doing away with all functional heads calling them as Enablers. This removes all the boxes in business and allows seamless decision making. However it will be done with a human face. Retraining and Reskilling will dominate the next few years.
The book is written with positivity and compassion. It is an all encompassing way forward to handle the post Covid Health Pandemic. While the whole world will go through huge churn and business dislocation, our integrity and wider sense of camaraderie will enable all of us to come out successfully.
The book proposes just a 3 layer organization Geography based. All Functional Heads and the CEO using their skills create a Decision Management System using AI/XL and IoT/Block Chain or any other technology of tomorrow to completely automate all business process. Right from Product finalization to manufacturing and all sales interaction to final payments to be based on an Intelligent System that will drive all businesses. Virtual Showrooms, Virtual Trial Rooms, User Controlled Remote Product Display etc will receive the focus of Business and hence Customers.
The CEO as Magellan of his business will have to chart out new ways for business revival. Things need to start Ab Initio. New market dynamics, new customer insights and new product needs would make the CEO think differently. The book guides how he can forget the past and use his skills to create a new and relevant new Mission and Vision and how he can really create a Meshed Organization by bring his Functional Heads as enablers. This is real enablement as the Functional Heads will no longer need to be defocussed by Operational issues. They just need to work on the vision of the CEO and along with other Functional Enablers create a business environment which becomes the foundation of all decision making processes.
The Geography Heads manage the complete business of his Geography: Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing, Training & Development, and all HR and Customer processes. The CEO and Functional Heads enables the Geography Heads to drive the Geography P&L.
Frontline of all functional areas will be the real EMPOWERED people in the system. They with their supervisors called FACILITATOR will form the core business drivers. Real empowerment comes when customers are given the highest priority and all products, services and process are aligned to enhance their ORGANIZATION. THE MESHED ORGANIZATION PROPOSES AN ENABLED & EMPOWERED ORGANIZATION. AN ORGANIZATION WHERE THERE ARE NO DECISION MAKING BOXES. WHERE THERE ARE NO EXCUSES. ALL PROCESSES ARE TRANSPARENT. A meshed organization operates like the Ants. They coalesce together to achieve a task and then rearrange for another task forming a system driven team. They need no bosses. They are simply task oriented. The production orders, supply chain and finishing of delivery process are AI/self driven.

About The Author
Jolly (Jawhar) has about 25 years of Corporate experience and 10 years as an Entrepreneur. Jolly has written 3 books so far of which 2 books are on the effects of Covid 19 Pandemic and how to manage life pre and post Covid 19 Pandemic.
Jolly had an illustrious career having worked in top organizations across India. A Topper in MBA from Aligarh Muslim University, 1983, he has experience as a Sales Head, Business Head, Operations Head, VP – Geography Head and Entrepreneurship. Companies he has worked for are Kelvinator, Sprint International, Escorts, Aptech Computer Education and Reliance Webworld.
Manthan Mindcare is an initiative by Jolly to provide free counselling and support to stressed out people. He provides help for stress management with real life solutions. Manthan Mindcare also guides for Career planning, Corporate Training, Coaching and Consulting. De-cluttering workplaces is Jolly’s one of the main area of work. He personally does Senior Management Coaching and career planning. He also helps free budding youngsters to find a path true to their nature.
The books of Jolly are reflection of his experiences and based on practical experiences that he has had at workplaces. He has been fortunate to work in both purely Indian companies like Escorts, Aptech and Reliance and Multinational companies like Sprint and Kelvinator.
Jolly understands the decision making processes prevalent in both type of organizations and today his thoughts are reflected in the books written by him.

This Channel is meant for School and College going students.
Jolly will talk about how to build careers and overcome failures. The talk will help students to find a right path for themselves. Besides this the talk will be around how to build oneself without the need of tuitions and how to plan the studies. The question of most students will be answered here.
It will be for 3 days a week to begin with, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Magellan sat on the doorstep of the Modern Age in early 1600s. As the world entered the Modern Age, Magellan proved to the world that Earth is round. Although he had earlier travelled one way half of the world, he chose to find a new way to the Spice Islands. Instead of choosing a known path, he chose to discover a new route through unchartered waters. That's the courage of a visionary leader.
While the whole world is afraid of the Pandemic and the economic fallout of disruption of businesses, I see a huge opportunity. A big opportunity for the creation of a new Organization built with the strengths of the past, present and future. It's not that I'm not afraid. I have personally suffered huge business loss. There are huge job losses or reduction in salaries. Life and Livelihood has become a big question for basic survival of people and so of businesses.
Here lies the opportunity. We need to use this inflection to move to the Cyber Age from the Modern Age.
The solution to this huge Migration lie in the creation of a Meshed Organization.
That's the base line of this book: A to Z of Meshed Organization
As we move out of the Covid 19 Pandemic, life for all would have changed or are in the process of being evolved. What must have seen us through these difficult 6 months is our sheer animal instinct to survive along with compassion for fellow human. Lot of lives would have been wasted. Lot many would be still struggling. Business with low cash would be seeking help to survive or re-capitalize their equity to mitigate their cash flows. Some would have closed to cut losses resulting into large unemployment. The large ones would have barely scraped through the mayhem. In fact as I write this book, the future seems to be lost in a haze. For complex businesses, the ordeal will be very large to handle. The complete might of the organization would be leveraged to survive the upheaval in business dynamics due to the corona pandemic.
This book looks at how Organizations need to evolve, protect life, grow and earn profits in the new world order. Organization symbolizes the fighting spirit of mankind. It's the men in the Organization that takes it to it's Alpha position. It's the people that create the DNA of the organization. In the new world order a new set of people with a new set of value system will set the tone and tenor of the organization. The tough survivors with tenacity to win will now run the businesses.
These people will be more agile, more knowledgeable, open minded, ears to the ground and customer focused. I perceive such people will be creating new ethos of customer satisfaction and owning customers for life. They will not only deliver more than promised but will ensure every customer smiles. These set of leaders will be more as Enablers and Empowering. The next five years will be sailing through very very choppy seas of unchartered waters. Like what Magellan did 400 years ago.
Markets might temporarily shrink, demands may get stagnant, but the real winners will be those Organizations that will go out of their way to create new customer benchmarks.
Mass produced products and insensitive customer response will be giving way to customer driven business nuances. All products will go the boutique way. Organizations need to be ready for pampering their customers. It is from the same customers you will earn regularly offering a lifetime of lifeline. For such organizations demand will never shrink. Nor will it's profits.
The new world will witness a complete change of buying habits, a new consumption patterns, evolution of new products and new markets. The old buyer behavior will no more be relevant. The old products and services may not be relevant any more. The new leadership will have to determine the new product, production and customer acquisition strategy.
We need an organization that handles the new ways of corporate existence in a successful and profitable manner. An organization that develops customer focused strategy and a team that has a strong socio economic foundation.
This book draws an analogy with the Animal Kingdom. Those intelligent animals who have lived simple lives but has delivered high quality leadership and individual entrepreneurship that has made them survive millions of years. Their species have come out of several Pandemic and evolved but has never been obliterated. Let's look at them and learn their ways. In this book we will see how these animals have evolved and survived and ensured a home for themselves and their progeny. We will then extrapolate what we can do similar in our workplace to become successful business persons. We will learn how to emulate the animals and survive.
The animals chosen do represent a few specific work cultures that we need to emulate and copy in our corporate lives to become successful.
This book will suggest a new Organization structure and name the position depending on what role it is playing with an analogy to the Animal Kingdom. It will analyze what makes them so unique and why they are so important in the new Human race.
I used to read in History books how civilization got destroyed and how new ones arose. A far better civilization, more equipped to deal with vagaries of life better, under a new environment of entrepreneurship. The best survived the chaos of moving from one generation to the next. Every change would have had its own share of Stress, Woes and Uncertainty. However, some people like us would have survived those mayhem and risen above the others. The most intelligent and the most nimble footed, the visionary who could see tomorrow like nobody else.
Today in 2020, we are again at the doorstep of annihilation of one civilization and the creation of a new civilization over the ashes of the old. We are witnessing a life changing event of Covid 19 Pandemic. Over the next 5 years chaos will prevail over everything in life. As the new ways and processes entrench our lives and old process and businesses die off, we will witness a new civilization unfolding right in front of us.
We are fortunately at an inflection point. Like all inflection points, this also gives us an opportunity to re-strategize, reassess and relook at things which matter the most. It allows us to discard the old and choose a new path. It allows us to redefine our goals, strategies and how to create a new life. This Pandemic has given us an opportunity to break our shackles and embrace the new ways of living.
This pandemic has questioned our basic existence! Why do we need to exist? If we really wish to exist post Covid Pandemic, we need to answer this question to at least ourselves. We owe it to our conscience, our family and loved ones. We need to make our personal lives meaningful. It is extremely important to take learnings from this health Pandemic, build the social security that all family members need and create a homogeneous society.
The Covid 19 has left it's impact worldwide. While most of the customers of all products and services remained indoors, still people purchased. Most customer’s ways of purchase has changed. What has happened, in a nutshell are:
● Online purchases has increased substantially.
● Work from home has become a reality.
● Work from home is no more a perk but a necessity for business continuity.
● Instead of face to face meetings most interactions are online. Hence sales of Tops, Shirts and Face/Hair make up continued, sales of lowers decreased.
● Shoes and briefcases became redundant.
● Pajama Sales people are the most active ones on the horizon.
● Most interactions became IT driven.
● Most processes were IT driven.
● Sales processes have completely changed.
● The way customers interact with sales persons has completely changed.
● Demand for domestic machines like dishwashers have increased.
● Demands for sanitizer and hygiene products has increased.
● Demand is for products which meets the basic amenities for running a household.
● Discretionary spending has become very small as customer braces themselves for an unknown future.
● It is sheer survival strategy now for every household.
● Markets have dismantled as demands have shrunk.
● Non remunerative channels have shrunk or closed.
● Product float in the channel has shrunk. Availability is erratic.
● Stocks have piled up due to low sales.
● Product demands and manufacturing would have gone haywire.
● Logistics is unsettled and erratic.
● Job losses or salary reductions have changed product mix for families.
● Cash conservatism would have moved people away from nonessential products.
● Demand for impromptu purchases would have reduced.
I could go on endlessly.
