    There are times when

    Situations get the best of us.

    We are not alone.

    Seek for the answers in

    The Words!

    ~~~
    For those that said it couldn’t be done…
    The Journey
    I wish I knew
    the right things to say
    But all I can do
    Is beg you to stay
    …away
    ~~~

    I poured out my heart

    Right down to the last drop

    It was beaten and torn apart

    Oh, how I’ve longed

    For the beating

    To stop

    If I could wipe

    Your canvas clear

    Of sorrow,

    I'd paint you a

    Brighter tomorrow

    ~~~
    It’s all right there
    In sight but not in reach
    Sometimes it’s just not fair
    Heartfelt-pain we’ve
    Yet to breach
    All within a distant stare
    Just listen for the silent speech
    On this journey to know where
    A quest to unlearn
    What we teach
    ~~~

    The fire burns

    Way down deep

    It twists and turns

    As the soul softly weeps

    It listens and learns

    From words we don't speak

    And the heart yearns

    For the ashes we

    Don’t keep

    ~~~
    I once painted a portrait
    Of how my life would be
    It’s so hard to interpret
    Blurred visions that I see
    I’ve learned and had to forfeit
    Through sacrifice and pleas
    I know I can’t control it
    There were no guarantees
    ~~~

    I’m not afraid

    To leave it all behind

    Done with this charade

    And the search to find

    The hand has been played

    Gaze forward to rewind

    All thoughts were conveyed

    All meanings defined

    ~~~
    One day I found a sunflower on the ground. In a dark place, nothing around. Frail, with no roots underground
    As people passed over her, never looking twice, no one lent a hand. Didn't notice her hanging by a strand. This, I just couldn't understand.
    Stepped on and on the floor, she was worth
