I found the book to have an interesting storyline, but let down by poor writing. The characters felt like they swung from one emotion to another and on to a third in the space of a few lines, and this went throughout the entire story. So many events were so unbelievable (including a tsunami when a volcano goes off that lifts a boat up from sea level, transports it 400km to Africa.)

Infection by Elle Klass is apparently part of a series. Since I hadn't read book 1, I assume there is a lot of character information that I'm missing. Beyond that though, the action is fast passed, and distracts from any lack of character development. It's fun to read. I just wish it didn't have that cliff hanger ending. I'm not fond of those.
