    I don't want to study mathematics! - A.P. Hernández

    CHAPTER 1

    Math is a drag.

    Anyone in doubt?

    Certainly, Martin is not.

Math is the worst subject ever and, on top of that, the one that makes the least sense.

Martin can see why he is being forced to study English at school. After all, it can be used for many things, such as learning the missions of a video game or reading the subtitles of a cartoon film in a different language.

Martin can also understand his teacher making him study things about animals, because everybody likes animals and some of them are very curious, like skunks or singing parrots.

Martin also accepts being forced to study Music, as singing is fun and playing the flute is also fun.

And, of course, he supports teaching PE at school, because being fit is very important if you want to become a footballer.

    But why study math?

What are they good for, anyway?

Martin sees the importance of knowing the numbers so that, in a video game, you can check your health, attack and defense points. Martin also understands that numbers are important to find your friends' houses, like his best friend Enrique, who lives at number 15 in Miguel Hernandez Street; or his second best friend Rodrigo, who lives on apartment 5C of Vistazul Building (meaning, fifth floor, apartment C).

    But that's it!

    Everything else is just nonsense!

Why do you have to study multiple numbers? Why do you
