    Dear friend,

By this book, I hope to be able to contribute to your leadership journey in a significant way. Irrespective of your field of endeavor, I am confident that this bouquet of articles will be helpful and relevant to you.

Let me let you in on how this book came about. For a long time, I have maintained a weekly column in the Business and Financial Times newspaper in Ghana. My articles have covered a range of topics on personal development. In this book, I have selected and compiled few of the leadership articles I have published in the newspaper over the years.

My desire is that the concepts you glean from this book will accentuate your strengths, assuage your weaknesses, and accelerate your progress.

    Regards,

    Terry Mante

    PARADIGMS OF LEADERSHIP

Leadership is not a position to be occupied but a role to be performed.

    Seniority

HAVE you ever found yourself in a leadership situation where the people you lead were older than you were? Well, I have. In high school when I had the task of being the class prefect, my biggest challenge was with the older guns in the class. I found it difficult to reprimand them when there was need to do so. However, with time, I was able to settle in my role and they also cooperated with me to get the work done.
