    Introduction

I wrote a book in Tamil with the same title nearly ten years ago upon a suggestion from a publisher.

I wrote and published it as an Ebook. That was among one of my well read books, next only to Zen Stories.

It is the end of 2019, when I started writing this English version.

The scenario of marriage has changed a lot in the last ten years.

Different types of people exist always:

    1.      Married and unhappy.

    2.      The unmarried are also unhappy.

    3.    Married, but lost their spouse at various stages in their lifetime.

Married feels that he was happier before marriage. They lost their freedom. The unmarried are lucky!

    Life of married people today!

    1.  Today very few are getting married in our part of India and several of the married are paying regular visits to Family court seeking separation. I talked to many of the litigants to understand what caused the change in one decade.

    2.  The same sex marriage, once a taboo, is open and law allows it today.

    3.  Most marriages are delayed.

Boys wait for their mid 30s and girls in their early 30s.  The late marriage is one of the reasons for disharmony.

Every individual has a different perception about every conceivable issue. As one grows in age,  the perceptions become unshakable faith. That makes them nearly inflexible to make adjustments with their spouse.

    4. Expectations from each other changes with time.

    Initially the appearance matters.

Soon, money matters and not as much as the looks!

Then the attention one seeks from the other matter.

With time The young couple become parents. Then grow into head of the family with grownup children and old age parents. Expectation from each other differs widely.

    5. Often both Parents of spouses are dependent on their children to varying extents,  both for emotional and economic support. Their perceptions and influence adds more bitterness.

    6.  Several problems between newly-weds can be traced to dishonesty and hidden agenda as its root cause.

    7.  There are crooked parents who seek to lead a luxurious life at the cost of the peaceful married life of their children.

These are a few  problems that contribute to disharmony in marital relations and  breaking of the marriage.

The worst victims are typically the Middle (Economic) Class.

I was wondering, if there was a way that the middle class will ever live peacefully like our forefathers.

I am very sure it will be possible.

    Reason?

Reviewer: Poor live by labour and the rich live by money. But the middle class live by knowledge. That gives me the hope!

    Reviewer: So what?

Author: All they need to do is go slightly spiritual.

Reviewer:  Will you make them Sadus and swamijis?

Author: No! They are hugely spiritual.  I am talking about Slightly Spiritual.

    Reviewer: ??????

Author:  Expose the people to some basic truth. The dirty tricks of Maya! That would do the magic!

Besides we will tell them those issues that cause disharmony.

Tell them some of the real life stories. (I will keep the names of the characters in the stories, places in the scene are fictitious).

When one understands Maya and Maya induced foolishness with which we live, most problems in married life will vanish and life on earth will not be any less than life in heaven.

    Child Marriage A Solution?

Once Child marriage widely prevalent in India. It is illegal now but it continues in some pockets. The married were too young to remember
