    PREFACE

THIS BOOK IS a spiritual boost for Christians who are looking for goals that inspire them to action.

This book is for every pastor and every church member. It is a book about maximizing your Christian faith. It shows what we do as Christians versus what we should do as Christians. It is about what we have learned from Christian tradition versus what Jesus told us to do. Not one believer is called to just sit in the pew on a Sunday morning. Every believer is called to live a life of faith in order to do the exciting works that God has predestined for each of us to do.

The church as a whole has not reached its full potential in Christ and in some cases may even be inactive and spiritually asleep, but the time has come for the church to arise and take its rightful place. This book is not only a call to action, but also a call to divine destiny. Through this book you will discover the following:

    • How to maximize your Christian faith

    • How to maximize your prayer life

    • How to maximize your freedom in Christ

    • How to maximize your fasting

    • How to maximize your generosity

    • How to maximize your evangelism

    • How to maximize your discipleship

    • How to maximize your money with a mission

    • How to maximize your destiny

    • How to maximize your dependency

    • How to know to maximize your partnership

    • How to maximize your life

    INTRODUCTION

    THE BIRTHDAY OF THE CHURCH

Jesus Christ is the one who came with the water of his baptism and the blood of his death. He came not only with the water, but with both the water and the blood. And the Spirit himself testifies that this is true, because the Spirit is truth. There are three witnesses: the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and all three give the same testimony. We believe human testimony; but God’s testimony is much stronger, and he has given this testimony about his Son.

    —1 JOHN 5:6–9, GNB

WHEN JESUS CHRIST hung on the cross, they pierced His side and immediately blood and water flowed out. It is my personal belief that the church of Jesus Christ was born at that very moment. Just as Eve came out of the side of Adam, the church came out of the side of Jesus. Anyone who believes in the testimony of the Spirit, the water and the blood which is the redemptive work of the cross, is the church of Jesus Christ.

When the Church was born, there were no Catholics, Protestant, Baptist, Presbyterians or Pentecostals. There were only believers. Today, it looks like the church is fragmented and divided, but it is not. God still sees only one church, one body, and one faith.

For centuries the church has been contaminated with mere traditions of man and false doctrines. However, God would not be God if He did not see this coming. Because God already foresaw this defilement, a divine insurance plan was made beforehand. Scripture declares that "the heavens must receive Him (Jesus) until the time for the final restoration of all things as He promised long ago through His holy prophets" (Acts 3:21). We are now living in that time of restoration! God is restoring everything that the church has lost throughout the ages. The purpose of this book is to show you how you can be a part of this great restoration process and to inspire you, not only to go to church, but also to be the church and maximize your Christian life!

    CHAPTER 1

    MAXIMIZED CHRISTIANITY

    BEING RELIGIOUS IS GOOD;

    BEING SPIRITUAL IS BETTER.

There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him. Jesus answered and said to him, Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus said to Him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born? Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you
