About this ebook

Author Glenn Miller is a master at weighing world events on God’s scales. The results are both frightening and sobering. By providing a dynamic commentary of unfolding events in the Middle East, the reader is made aware of what God is about to do in the human race and the nations of the world.

The Prophetic Fall of the Islamic Regime is a desperately needed word for the Church as it seeks to understand current events from God’s perspective. It is essential that Christians properly understand the purpose that was accomplished when Christ came to the earth. In The Prophetic Fall of the Islamic Regime Glenn Miller shows that while Jesus came to demonstrate God’s loving, merciful character, it did not change His nature as the Mighty Man of War, who is involved in the fight between good and evil. The Prophetic Fall of the Islamic Regime is a “now word” for anyone looking for godly insight into terrorism, conflicts, and the deception of a false god. In true prophetic fashion, Miller penned a work that must result in souls beginning to hunger for the true God in the face of mass deception. No other book in the Christian marketplace gives such insight concerning God’s prophetic voice to the nations…

    PART I: INTERPRETERS OF HISTORY

    MY OBJECTIVES

IN THIS FIRST section, I want to illustrate the point that while news reporters deal with facts, they may at times inadvertently overlook the real truth behind the facts. What you read may not accurately reflect the significance of the story, not because the facts are incorrect, but because the facts alone do not reveal the unfolding objectives of the kingdom of God at work in the affairs of men.

The war in Iraq was played out in deserts and cities. News commentators did a commendable job reporting the facts; however, secular angles tend to rob God of His rightful position in the affairs of men.

Only God can accurately interpret history. This is where the prophetic voice becomes invaluable.

The prophet has always been one of the major means by which God reveals His intended purposes to His people and to the world. We must understand that history is but revelation of something God is doing in the earth, and that history is unfolding into God’s ultimate purpose and objectives.

The believer in Jesus Christ understands that heaven has a vested interest in nations, events, and lives. With this in mind, we need to view the spiritual implications of the events that are now taking place in the Middle East.

    Chapter 1

    BEHIND THE STORY

THE UNITED STATES and her allies entered into a war with Iraq in March, 2003. Across America, protestors immediately took to the streets, staging massive anti-war demonstrations. Several nations, including France, Germany, and Turkey, along with the United Nations Security Council, refused to support America’s decision to strike Iraq. President Bush received harsh criticism from several European leaders and various sectors of American society; and, of course, from both Republicans and Democrats.

As usual, some tried to reduce it to a partisan conflict. Let me remind you, God is neither on the Republican side, nor the Democratic side. He is the side!

This book in no way was written to serve as a political treatise. However, it is virtually impossible to not at least mention several prominent political figures and the influence they brought to this war. Their political stances certainly factored into this impending military confrontation. After all, the decision to go to war originates in the halls of government. American presidents, past and present, were called upon to make decisions. Their actions were borne out of their personal value systems, round-table discussions with cabinet members and other trusted advisors, and their perceived responsibilities to the American public and its welfare.

Wars are first fought in the minds of men before they are played out on the battlefield. Combat is strategy. The stakes are life or death. The tools of war constitute weapons of mass destruction. Our troops, led by military geniuses, included some of the finest men and women on the planet. The seen enemy in this case was a madman by the name of Saddam Hussein and his blood-thirsty regime. However, the powers that be change faces with each war. Do the names Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, and Osama bin Laden sound familiar?

Leaders represent power, and power sides with either good or evil. The emphasis of this book is to reveal the spiritual design and purpose behind the story. The war in Iraq was much more than a natural war. It was the result of a much greater spiritual conflict resulting in eternal repercussions, which affect over one billion souls of men. I am not minimizing the loss of our brave service personnel, who gave their lives in the Iraqi desert. Sadly, at the time of this writing, more than 900 Americans have lost their lives in this terrible conflict.

Skirmishes continue throughout Iraq. April, 2004 saw the record number of 99 service personnel killed in a single month, followed only by a November, 2003 high of 82 troops.1 We honor their sacrifice and pray for their families.

Previous reports issued by the Department of Defense in March of 2004, one year after the war began, recorded the following statistics: the British military reported 58 deaths; Italy, 17; Spain, 8; Bulgaria, 5; Thailand, 2; Denmark, Ukraine, Estonia, and Poland reported one each.2 Higher casualty numbers were later released for our allies, as well. The Iraqi death toll reached more than 1,050 by mid-April, 2004.3

In no way do I intend to debate the issues that led to this military confrontation. Needless to say, many people around the world and in America were left in confusion regarding their personal opinions about this war. One high school student was quoted as saying, I do not believe in war at all! I believe that a country that prints ‘In God We Trust’ on their dollar bill should adopt non-violent tactics.4 A wide majority, however, supported President Bush’s decision. But let’s face it; nobody liked the inevitability of a war with
