The Case of the Washed Up Part Three - James Keith

    1

Whoever did this is either really stupid or they wanted us to find it, said Inspector Bronson. Detective White put his hand in the bin, he was about to pick up the jumpsuit.

Stop do not touch that. We need to have it tested and we need to see if there is any DNA on this. It could easily link us to the person who was in the room today.

Sure. I will get someone to come and take this to the lab to run a test on it. They were still both completely baffled by what was just dumped in the bin by the entrance to the dorm. Why would someone be so foolish, to put it in that bin? Or was it a really clever tactic for it to be found? Were these people playing mind games with the inspector and detective? Whoever they were, they were very smart, and they knew every move that Inspector Bronson and Detective White were making.

In the car park, there were many students and other members of the public that had gathered around. There was a large gathering due to the nature of the police presence and the sounds of gunfire, which shot out the window of the Cadillac at the back of the car park.

I take it that was your handiwork then inspector? Detective White was smirking as he spoke.

Yes, it was. They were too fast for me. I had to take the shot, but I missed, and I hit that Cadillac and put the window out. I’m sure they have insurance, if not the chief will take care of it. Detective White started to laugh, he found it hilarious how casual Inspector Bronson was about opening fire in such a public location.

Come on. Let’s go speak to some of these students see what they know about the recent events, insisted Inspector Bronson.

They went over to some of the students to see how they were.

How is everything? Inspector Bronson asked. A deputy could be heard shouting.

There is nothing much to see now, everything is okay and under control. Detective White shouted across to the deputy to shut up as he was a little more insistent about finding out about the supply of cocaine.

Does anybody know anyone who has been supplying any of the students here with cocaine? Any information will help us. Nobody is in trouble we just want to know where it is coming from. Many of the students looked disgusted at what had been asked of them. This was not something that they were aware of, which was clear to Inspector Bronson. He was very good at reading people he could read their body language, mood and faces after so long in the job.

Detective White’s instincts kicked in. He noticed a very shifty looking male at the back, he was scruffy-looking, with a deadpan gaze. It was Chris, the man who Inspector Bronson had released earlier in the day.

Over there, that guy. Look at him, something is not right, bellowed Detective White.

"That’s Chris, that’s the guy who I interrogated
