She Fell In Love with a Savage 2 - Shavekia Layfield
Prologue
I shed a tear that flows like water under bridges
Now, here I stand frozen, frigid
I never meant to be your downfall, only your savior
Lifting you toward heaven because I recognize the angel in your skin tone
I did not want to cause you any pain
Head hung in shame
Like pictures of broken scriptures
My sins written in pen... permanent marks on the lines of our lives
I never meant for this to happen
I wanted to spend my days making you happy
I will make things right
I won't stop without a fight
I won’t stop until
My mission is finished, until our story is scripted
The ending will be me as your husband and you as my wife
This is the ending that I seek
Do you hear the words that I speak?
M an, shut the fuck up with all that lovey-dovey poem shit,
Ryder barked. He was getting tired of his brother and all the dumb poems he was reciting to Tiara. He didn’t even know why he was there. What did he have to do with the situation? Vivian was bat crazy, and they both knew they had to get to their mom before she did something drastic.
I can’t help it. I feel bad.
You should feel bad. It’s because of you we are all trapped in the goddamn basement.
Omega didn’t say a word. He looked over at Tiara, who was still bonded to the chair. He had originally thought Ryder was there to take them out until he saw the blood dripping from his head. It was clear that Vivian was more of a psycho than he thought. Omega had gone through all of the paperwork that Vivian had left behind. She was truly a documented psychopath.
I didn’t tell her to bring us here. I didn’t even know she was this crazy.
I am not crazy. You are.
Omega jumped at the sound of Vivian’s voice. The basement was dark, but he followed her voice and the sounds of her shoes clicking and clacking on the basement floor. When she peered into the dimly lit area where they were all sitting, she looked at Omega and smiled.
Let us out of here! You are a crazy bitch!
he spat.
Okay, sure. I will let you go.
Vivian untied Omega and disappeared into the darkness of the basement. Omega was unsure of her motives. He wasn’t sure if this was a setup or not, but he didn’t want to stand around waiting. He got up and started untying Tiara and the kids.
Come on, baby. Let’s get out of here,
Omega told Tiara. Tiara didn’t have a chance to say anything.
Freeze!
Omega stopped in his tracks with his hands up. He looked around and the police surrounded him.
We finally caught you red handed, Omega West. You are going down.
The officers untied the kids and Ryder.
Ma’am, are you okay?
the officer asked, looking at Tiara.
Yes, I am. I am fine. I just want to go home.
Well, we need you to go down to the station.
I really just want to take my children home,
Tiara pleaded. The officer let out a sigh.
I will take you anywhere you want to go if you promise to be at the station by nine in the morning.
I promise. Where are you taking Omega? He is not who put us down here.
He’s not?
the officer was confused. His partners had already taken Omega outside in handcuffs.
No, it was a woman… Vivian… yeah, Vivian is her name.
The officer took out a pen and paper and wrote down some stuff.
Come on, guys. Let me get you out of here.
That was music to Tiara’s ears. The basement was cold and wet, and she was sure that her children were going to catch a cold.
Are you guys alright?
she asked once they were outside. Aubrey rolled her eyes. She felt like her mother was responsible for this whole ordeal and didn’t have any words for her. AJ, on the other hand, had a growling stomach.
I’m hungry.
Me too.
Tiara smiled. When they got on the outside, they noticed that it was daylight.
How long were we down there?
she asked the officer.
I’m guessing about three days.
How did you find us?
The Vivian woman that you spoke of earlier… she called us and gave us a tip. She told us that she saw Omega bringing you guys down here.
Tiara stopped walking and looked at the officer with a blank stare. Finally, she spoke.
I think I have changed my mind. I will go to the station, but I’m not going to talk about Omega. I want to place a restraining order against Vivian.
The officer assisted Tiara and her kids his car. In the next car, they had Omega and Ryder. Tiara didn’t know why, but they had arrested him too. Maybe Omega was too good to be true. I need to reevaluate my whole life. Tiara felt defeated. Her lust for Omega had placed her kids in harm’s way. She would never forgive herself for putting them through all of this.
Can we please stop and get something to eat?
AJ asked.
Yes,
the officer answered and pulled right in to a McDonald’s.
Can the children go get the food? I want to talk to you in private.
Tiara nodded. The officer handed Aubrey a 20-dollar bill. She and AJ walked inside of the restaurant. Once the children were out of earshot, the officer began.
Let me start by formally introducing myself. I am Officer Daniel Greer, but you can call me Danny. I wanted to talk to you about Omega and Ryder.
What is there to say?
Tiara asked.
First of all, did you know that they were brothers?
Yes.
Tiara tried to remember if Omega had told her that Ryder was his brother or not. Everything had happened so fast, and she wasn’t sure.
Well, the West brothers are trouble. They are bad news. Ryder is a major drug dealer, and Omega is wanted for murder. Their mother and father were two crooked people that stole from the poor to pad their pockets. We know that Ryder killed their father, but no one is talking. The accident left their mother paralyzed. Tiara, I am not trying to frighten you, but you should really reconsider your choices when dealing the West family. We still haven’t found Stephanie.
Stephanie? Who is that?
His wife.
Before Tiara could respond, the kids were back. She knew for a fact that Omega hadn’t mentioned a wife. There were so many unsolved mysteries surrounding Omega. Lord, send me a sign. Is Omega the man for me? Tiara prayed to herself silently. She wanted their relationship to work.
The kids ate their food in silence. Tiara couldn’t help but feel like she owed them an apology. Once things settled down and cleared, she decided to have a talk with them. Danny didn’t say another word until they reached the station.
Please take what I said into consideration. I hope all goes well.
Danny gave a weak smile and walked away. Tiara filled out the paperwork against Vivian. She took the safety of her children seriously. If this was the type of stuff that she would have to subject her children to, then Omega was not the right man for her. He had some serious explaining to do. She wasn’t one for hearsay, but so far, that is all she had to go by.
Are you guys alright?
Tiara turned around to see who was talking to them. A’Quan and Mercedes had walked up. She gave them both the side eye. Tiara wasn’t sure what was up with them. She was sure they were probably smashing again. That was neither here nor there, but in the back of her mind, she couldn’t help but wonder if they were.
Yes, we are fine. Omega and Ryder are in custody. I filled out a restraining order against Vivian. I just want to go home.

Omega
Omega and Ryder weren’t allowed to leave. The detectives were still trying to gather evidence, and didn’t want to risk losing them. They were both sent to separate holding cells. Neither one of them were worried. There was no evidence that connected them to anything. In addition to that, their lawyer was on her way. Both men exercised their right to remain silent.
Get to work. Dig up everything thing you can. We have 72 hours to hold them,
Omega heard the captain tell his detectives.
You might as well forget about holding either of my clients. They are both coming home with me, seeing as though you are still trying to fish for evidence.
A big smile emerged across Omega’s face. She had arrived. There she was standing five-feet-seven-inches tall, with smooth skin that was a shade darker than brown sugar. Her natural hair was straightened and sitting on her shoulders. The entire squad took notice of her sexy physique. From her toned legs up to the tiniest details on her makeup that accented her face, she appeared to be perfect.
Excuse me… who are you?
You are excused.
Stephanie stepped to the side to allow the captain to leave.
"Before you leave, let me introduce myself. I am going to
