About this ebook

From sex crimes, to murder, to bazaar love triangles, and even inter-species breeding between heavenly beings and women, the Book of Genesis is truly an eye popping narrative concerning the taboo genealogies and historical accounts of the family of Israel and his many descendants which ultimately make up modern day Israel.

Believed to have been written by the self-proclaimed murderer Moses around 1450 B.C., this book delivers an unapologetic narrative of the beginnings of the world, the history of the family of Israel, and an introduction to the promised Savior of the World.

A completely revitalized version of the Holy Bible in plain English, the Regeneration Translation has been carefully updated to modernize archaic numerology, words, and phrases, while maintaining the original character and integrity of earlier translations.

    Chapter 1

1 God created heaven and earth in the beginning. 2 And the earth was barren and empty; and a shadow was on the surface of the deep; and the Spirit of God stirred the surface of the waters.

3 And God spoke, saying, Let there be light. And the light was. 4 And God looked at the light, and found it to be good; and God separated the light from the darkness. 5 And God named the light Day, and the darkness he named Night.

And there was evening and morning; the first day.

6 And God spoke, saying, Let there be sky in the middle of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the sky, and separated the waters which were under the sky from those which were above the sky; and so it was. 8 And God named the sky Heaven.

And there was evening and morning; the second day.

9 And God spoke, saying, Let the waters beneath heaven gather together to one place, and let the dry land be seen. And so it was. 10 And God named the dry land Earth; and the waters which were gathered together he named Seas; And God looked and found it to be good. 11 And God spoke, saying, Let the earth produce grass, herbs producing seed, and fruit trees producing seed bearing fruit according to their kind on the earth. And so it was. 12 And the earth sprung up grass, herbs producing seed according to their kind, and fruit trees producing seed bearing fruit according to their kind; and God looked and found it to be good.

13 And there was evening and morning; the third day.

14 And God spoke, saying, Let there be lights in the skies of heaven to separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and to mark days and years; 15 and let them be for lights in the skies of heaven to shine light on the earth. And so it was. 16 And God made the two immense lights; the larger to rule the day, and the smaller to rule the night; and he also made the stars. 17 And God placed them in the skies of heaven to shine light on the earth, 18 to have dominion over the day and the night, and to separate the light from the darkness; and God looked and found it to be good.

19 And there was evening and morning; the fourth day.

20 And God spoke, saying, Let the waters have an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly over the earth in the open skies of heaven. 21 And God created the immense sea creatures, and all the living creatures that moved in the waters in abundance, according to their kind, and each and every winged bird according to its kind; and God looked and found it to be good. 22 And God blessed them and spoke, saying, Be productive, and increase! Fill up the waters in the seas, and let birds increase on the earth.

23 And there was evening and morning; the fifth day.

24 And God spoke, saying, Let the earth produce living creatures according to their kind; cattle, and creeping things, and beasts of the earth according to their kind. And so it was. 25 And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kind, and the cattle according to their kind; and everything that creeps on the ground according to its kind; and God looked and found it to be good.

26 And God spoke, saying, Let us make man in our own image, and in our own resemblance; and allow them to rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the sky, and over the cattle, and over the entire earth, and over all creeping things that creep on the earth.

27 So then God created man in his own image, and in his own resemblance he created him; and he created them male and female.

28 And God blessed them and spoke, saying, Be productive, and increase; fill up the earth, and take control of it; and rule over the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.

29 And God spoke, saying, Look, I have given you every herb producing seed which is on the surface of the entire earth, and every tree which has seed bearing fruit; to you it will be for food; 30 and to all beasts of the earth, and to all the birds of the sky, and to everything that creeps on the earth, to all that has life, to them I have given every green herb for food. And so it was.

31 And God looked at everything he made, and saw it was truly good.

And there was evening and morning; the sixth day.

    Chapter 2

1 And the heavens and the earth were completed, and all the surroundings of them. 2 And on the seventh day God completed the work which he made; and on the seventh day he rested from all his work which he made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and made it holy; because he rested from all his work that he had created and made on that day.

4 This is the history of when the heavens and the earth were created, in the time that the LORD God made the earth and heavens. 5 And no plant of the field was in the earth yet, and no herb of the field had sprouted yet; because the LORD God had not yet caused the rain to fall on the earth, and there was no man to cultivate the ground; 6 but a mist came up from the earth, and watered the entire surface of the ground. 7 And the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils; and man became a living person.

8 And the LORD God planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he placed the man whom he had formed. 9 And the LORD God made every tree that is beautiful to look at, and good for food, to grow out of the ground; and in the center of the garden was the tree of life, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

10 And a river flowed out of Eden to water God’s garden; and from there it was divided, and became four river heads. 11 The first is called Pishon; it compasses the entire land of Havilah, where gold can be found; 12 and that land’s gold is good; bdellium and the onyx stone can also be found there. 13 And the second river is called Gihon; it compasses the entire land of Cush. 14 And the third river is called Hiddekel; it flows toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is named the Euphrates.

15 And the LORD God brought the man, and placed him in the garden of Eden to cultivate it and to take care of it. 16 And the LORD God ordered the man, saying, You may eat freely from any of the trees of the garden; 17 but you shall not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; because in the day that you do, you will certainly die.

18 And the LORD God spoke, saying, That the man should be alone is not good; I will make him a helper suited to him. 19 And out of the ground the LORD God formed all the beasts of the field, and all the birds of the sky; and he took them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever name the man named all the living creatures, that was their name. 20 And the man named all the cattle, all the birds of the sky, and all the beasts of the field; but no suitable helper was found for the man.

21 And the LORD God caused a heavy sleep to come over the man, and he fell asleep; and while he slept he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh where it had been; 22 and with the rib that he had taken out of the man, the LORD God made a woman; and he brought her to the man.

23 And the man spoke, saying, Now this is bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she will be named Woman, because out of Man she was taken.

24 For this reason a man will let go of his father and his mother, and will be joined to his wife; and they will be one flesh.

25 And the man and his wife were both naked, and they were not ashamed.

    Chapter 3

1 Now the serpent was more sly than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he spoke to the woman, saying, Also did God speak, saying, ‘You shall not eat from any tree of the garden?’

2 And the woman spoke to the serpent, saying, The fruit from the trees of the garden we can eat; 3 but the fruit from the tree which is in the center of the garden God has spoken, saying, ‘You must not eat from it, nor must you touch it, otherwise you will die.’

4 And the serpent spoke to the woman, saying, You will certainly not die; 5 for God does know that in the day you eat from that tree, at that moment your eyes will be opened; and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.

6 And when the woman perceived that the tree was good for food, and that it was beautiful to look at, and that the tree was desirable, able to make those who ate from it wise, she took fruit from the tree and ate it; and she gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate also. 7 And their eyes were opened, and they knew they were naked; so they took fig leaves and sewed them together, and made clothing to cover themselves.

8 And in the cool of the day they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden; and the man and his wife concealed themselves among the trees in the garden from the presence of the LORD God. 9 And the LORD God called out to the man and spoke to him, saying, Where are you?

10 And the he spoke, saying, I heard your voice in the garden and was afraid, because I was naked; and I concealed myself.

11 And the LORD God spoke, saying, Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten fruit from the tree I ordered you not to eat from?

12 And the man replied, saying, The woman whom you gave to be with me gave me fruit from the tree, and I ate it.

13 And the LORD God spoke to the woman, saying, What is this that you have done?

And the woman spoke, saying, "The serpent deceived me, and
