But what goes up must come down, and where there is good, bad can always be found. Evils from the past just can’t seem to let Storm and Naseem build their lives and be happy without throwing them a curve ball or two, and nothing can prepare the couple for what happens to them.

While Storm and Naseem are going through trial after trial, Ax and Kimmi seem to be coming into their own. But is the match between the two of them too good to be true, or will everything keep coming up right for them?

Ride along with Storm, Naseem, Kimmi, and Ax one last time to see if there is anything that they won’t do for each other.

For You I Will - Vaneecia

    1

    Storm

See the thing about everything being good was that, at some point, something had to go bad. It was Murphy’s Law. What can go wrong will go wrong. I knew that, but when things were so good that you felt like you were flying, it was easy to ignore the fact that there were bad things lurking around every corner, ready to take what you valued most. I mean, I knew that most of all, but I always got it back on track. Hell, even with as far off track as everything had gotten this time, me and my family eventually got it back right, and this time it would stay right. No matter what I had to do to ensure that.

I knew when we settled the dust the last time that we still had at least one more big fight coming our way. I couldn’t tell you how I knew, but I knew it. Maybe it was just because of how life had been for me in the past, but regardless, I thought that we could handle it all. I mean, I knew that we could handle the little stuff, but the big stuff caught us slipping. Hell, the big stuff almost ruined us. It had scared me, and I didn’t scare easy. If you read my first story, you would have known that. I was tough. I mean, I had to be because I had been through hell and back and had always taught myself to prepare for the worst while hoping for the best. But I let myself believe that shit was kosher. I knew that I couldn’t take responsibility for the decisions of others, but shit, I knew that there were people out there who didn’t fuck with me and my man. I just never thought that they would take it as far as they did. I mean, me and Naseem’s names rang bells around our city since all the bullshit that had gone down before. But even before that, Naseem’s name held weight. You could say it was nothing to be proud of, but I was one of the baddest curvy strippers in the state. Niggas were dying to run into me, and females were borderline dying to be me.

After all of that, we were happy. Everything was fine, and we were fine. With Drena and Chance gone, things were finally going the way we had wanted them to. I mean, I had the twins, Naseem got out of the streets, and I opened my accounting firm. Na’Drea was an excellent big sister and helper around the house. Of course, with the good came the bad. There were days that I missed my baby Marcus more than anything in the world, but I got through it with the love and help from my family. But I learned a little too late that some things weren’t meant to stay fine. I mean, you could get them back to the way that they were with a lot of work, but that time frame where everything was messed up would be hell. Sometimes, you had to put on a brave face and weather more than one storm to get to the place that you really needed to be, and me and mine definitely did.

Naseem! If you don’t get yo’ kids out of this kitchen while I’m trying to cook, I’m gon’ beat them and you, I fussed at my husband as all three of our kids ran around my legs. As much as I fussed about it, this was one of my favorite parts of my day. I loved seeing my kids happy and healthy. They were my heartbeat. I just didn’t want them in the kitchen while I was cooking, because they could get hurt. Otherwise, I would be running my grown ass right behind them playing and shit too. Na’Drea and I would have to team up because the twins were messing with her as usual. They loved messing with their big sister, and they did it in some of the most comical ways possible. Like two days ago, Ameera sat on her face while Amir jumped on the bed. So Na’Drea couldn’t even get up or else she would risk hurting her little sister. And let me tell you, she was very protective over her little sister.

Na’Drea, Ameera, and Amir, y’all want pop pop? I threatened, waving my spatula at them. All three of them took off like they were on fire. They knew Momma would’ve given them a pop too. I might have sounded mean, but I was just trying to keep them from getting burned or worse.

You better leave my kids alone, Naseem called out as he walked into the kitchen. When they heard his voice, the kids came right back in. He would keep me from popping them, and that’s why they were so damn spoiled now. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. Watching Naseem be a father was possibly the sexiest thing I had ever seen him do, and let me tell you, baby, my husband oozed sex appeal. I stared at the hard lines of his body as he stood in front of me looking straight edible with his shirt off. Naseem was six feet one with honey brown skin and eyes that were like pools of milk chocolate. His full lips alone had me on ten, and if the kids were at daycare, you could bet your ass that I would be bent over the counter taking every inch that he had to offer me. On top of being flawless as far as his facial features went, I loved the way his dreads hung and that he kept them nice in condition at all times. If I said it once, I would say it a million times, Naseem Jefferson was finer than baby hair.

You can take the pop for them, I teased as I started putting food on plates and taking it over to the table. No sooner than did the words leave my mouth, Naseem slapped my ass like he had something to prove. That shit hurt like hell, and I hit him back out of reflex.

Ole heavy-handed ass girl, he commented as he rubbed the spot on his arm where I had hit him.

You act like yo’ hands is made of feathers or some shit. I felt that all the way in my thighs, I replied in a whisper so that the kids wouldn’t hear me cuss. I tried to keep cussing to a minimum around them, but I was human, and sometimes I slipped.

I’ll make you feel something else in your thighs later, he whispered in my ear before biting down lightly on my neck and then kissing my cheek. It didn’t matter how light the bite was, my neck was my spot, and I had to take a minute to get myself together. I wasn’t going to get my hopes up about his promise though, because all three of our kids were cock blockers if I had ever seen them.

What y’all wanna do today? Naseem asked as he sat at the table. I placed his plate in front of him, went to grab mine, and sat down at the table.

We can do whatever you would like since we got you for the weekend, I commented. I normally would’ve waited for the kids to answer, but all three of my kids were eating like they were in jail with one arm around their plate, hunched over, and just going at it. I wished I could say that this was just a one-time thing, but unless we were in public or had guests, this was how they ate at all times. Greedy butts.

Naseem owned a couple gyms and one nightclub, so he was always on the move. He was very hands on, and I couldn’t hate on him for that because, at the end of the day, it was his name that was on the line. I was the same way with my accounting firm. I thought his ambition and work ethic was sexy as hell. Plus, we worked together on the money side. I was my man’s accountant, and that was how it would stay forever. One, I just liked to be sure, and I didn’t want to risk someone trying to pull something slick on my man. And it gave me an excuse to come through the business once a week and check the weak ass hoes that worked with him who thought that I was a game. I could trust my man all the fuck I wanted to, but these hoes were scandalous out here and saw the ring as a challenge.

Alright, well, how about we go to the store and get everything that we need for a movie and game day, Naseem said more to the kids than to me. They stopped chewing for that and got real excited. I was excited right along with them.

Alright, well, let’s finish eating, so we can get going. I had already gotten everyone dressed, and all Naseem needed to do was put on a shirt. I was glad that we did our family nights once a week and everything. It was just what we needed. I knew Naseem wanted to wait a little longer, but if he wanted me to go to the store with him, then we were going now. I hated to go to the store later in the day. There was no real reason; I just hated it something fierce.

We all finished eating, so I put the kids’ shoes on, and we headed for the door. I laughed at the fact that we were going to the store to buy nothing but candy, but this was our ritual. On weekends, the kids got their fill of junk food because it was off limits during the week. On the weekends, Naseem would let the kids get away with murder. I mean, like eating sweets and shit all day. Which was why it only happened on weekends and holidays. I would stop it, but it was too cute once they got started, and he was the one that put them to bed on weekends.

We pulled up to Walmart, and I slid out of the car. I’d opened the back door and went to let the twins out of their seats while Naseem went and got the double-seater cart when I felt a presence behind me. I knew that it wasn’t Naseem because I would know that man anywhere and from any distance. Whoever this was, was making me real uncomfortable. I turned around quickly and shut the door back on the twins in case this shit went left. Na’Drea had gone to get the cart with her dad, so I didn’t have to worry about her trying to get out or anything. And trust me, my baby would try and fight whoever it was that was behind me.

I turned and was staring dead at Ja’el. He was my old boss from my strip club days, but I couldn’t figure out for the life of me why he was all up in my space the way that he was. I hadn’t seen this man in well over two years, and even back then he wouldn’t be this close
