The Ultimate Cure for Depression - Dr. Joy Kwakuyi
Introduction
Welcome to a life-transforming journey!
When I started my outpatient psychiatric practice, Tucson Treatment Center, Inc., a few years ago, I quickly became overwhelmed by the large number of individuals who are afflicted with depression and anxiety. I was even more astonished when I discovered that a significant portion of this population are in the upper-middle income bracket, namely politicians, pastors, celebrities, business executives, lawyers, and professionals of all walks of life. Depression is a leading cause of disability in the world. Depression discolors lives, steals our joy, and deflates our passion. Depression wipes away destinies. Unfortunately, all over the world, many people fail to intervene actively or seek help promptly when they are depressed. While this is true for many groups, one group of people who fail to seek help promptly are leaders in all spheres of life, including parents, community leaders, business leaders, church leaders, and other busy professionals. This is because they are expected to be strong so others can draw hope from them. We often forget that depression afflicts people from all walks of life. For this reason, depression has become an enemy so vicious and so deadly that we cannot afford to sit around passively and watch it destroy our lives or the lives of our loved
