    Call to the reader

Our journey starts at the centre of the space, in the darkness…

Close your eyes and let yourself float freely… You will soon start hearing a sound like a working photocopy machine. It sounds as if someone in the depths of space is copying some documents.

One page, one more and one more too…

The vibrations around are getting louder and louder. And you start thinking that the machine is about to run out of oil. Who is using it? Is he copying the rules of the universe? Is he preparing a new destiny for some beings on some planets? Go on your flight! You will pass by howling planets, hear the whistle of the stars and get dazzled by the shining colours of the galaxies as you open your eyes.

Don’t be afraid! Watch the surprising beauties that the universe will bring in front of you! Just relax and fly towards the strongest light you see… Soon or later you will come up with a civilization full of beings like you. Have you seen the little blue dot there? Accompanied by a little grey heavenly body…

    Leave it there!

Fly faster to the next light. Fly millions of light years away, from light to light. Don’t let the darkness divert you in between. Your destination is another dot in another galaxy. As you get there another light will meet you. The man at the photocopy machine will be no more heard. You will soon start hearing the dance of the fire.

    A blue fire!

A huge celestial body is emitting blue flares nonstop. Pass that blue sun by and move toward a little shiny, green dot orbiting it. It will shine like an emerald when you get closer. A few crawls more and you are there, above it. Get a deep breath. After millions of light years flight, you have successfully reached at your destination, at Egibil. Don’t enter the planet immediately. Enjoy your time! Watch the people below from space…

On that planet nothing is as it is attributed to the living beings. On Egibil life runs smoothly and in peace. The people are living happily since thousands of years. They feel the happiness as every living being should feel. They have never heard the sound of violence or the cries of mothers and innocent children. Their life is as pure as their clothes. The people of that planet just wear white. They reflect their inner beauty to outside.

The planet Egibil lies at the Laterna Solar System of Sirina Galaxy. It is the fourth planet of a solar system which includes six planets in total. It has three moons called Mondi, Erta and Suneta. The planet is hosting around 550 000 happy people free of wars, illnesses and sufferings. They have approximately 200 years of life span. It is a paradise at a far far away planet of the universe. A real utopic world as in the dreams of all the living beings present. But how long will that peace go on?

Stay where you are and see what kind of a tragic destiny the documents which the man at the photocopy machine copied included for them…

    Year 5024 - Planet Egibil

    Lila’s home

It was a day as every other day. Laterna’s blue lights were expanding their warmness as usual. But for Lila, it was feeling unusual that day.

She was tired. She had slept very late because of her excitement. But what made her uncomfortable that day wasn’t the excitement or the little sleep. It was something else she couldn’t figure out. She didn’t want to get up. She moved in the bed murmuring and scratched her arms inside her thin white nightgown. As Lila heard the footsteps at the stairs getting closer each second, she thought We are starting again. She opened one eye and searched the room by holding her head up.

I can’t even move today… I feel like I gained hundreds of kilos in a night.

She was sweatening. She took a look at the room as if she was seeing it for the first time. Almost all the furniture in the room was white. There was a table on the left side near the bed and on it a vase full of flowers. The only colour in the room was inside that vase: The red flowers with blue leaves. Near the vase a device like clock stayed. On the right side near the door there was a big mirror with a silver frame and with silver buttons around. There weren’t any cupboards or any places to put the clothes in. And at just opposite of the bed a huge screen was seen on the wall. The screen had silver frame as well but it looked transparent inside. The wall behind the screen was visible. As she moved her arm towards the clock, someone entered the room. She had a tray with breakfast. Lila didn’t want to eat that yellow pudding with pink fruits called rosamerries on that morning. She casted a look at Maya wearily.

Good morning Lila. The time for a new day has come.

She looked like Lila or any other being on the planet. But she was a humanoid robot with a metallic voice. She was called Maya. Maya was blond and had blue eyes. She looked exactly like a human. Since Lila’s childhood, she was there and helping her. Sometimes she was a servant to her and sometimes a friend.

Maya, I don’t feel ready for a new day. For the sake of Laterna, please let me sleep a little more.

The people of Egibil did not have any religious believes. They saw their sun Laterna as the main power of life, the creator of life. So, they respected it but wasn’t a worship. That was why such sayings as For the sake of Laterna or Thanks to Laterna were common among them. Maya put the tray on the table and took the blanket away.

Lila, I can’t let you sleep more. If you do not get ready in 20 times you will be late for your exam.

On Egibil each day lasted 25 hours, so about 1750 times. They were measuring the time according to Laterna’s up and set. And time meant something like minute. 70 times meant an hour. The midnight meant 1260 times after Laterna’s up or 350 times before Laterna’s set.

Lila opened her second eye and got up slowly. She sat on the bed with her blond hairs in front of her face. After a few second of resting like that, she raised her head and grimaced.

Ok. I am awake. And now?

Very well. You have made the first step.

Maya. Do you feel also that today is somehow so strange?

    How strange?

Lila had difficulty to explain how she felt.

I don’t know. Somehow heavy. Hotter maybe. I feel different, not as comfortable as always. Not as it should be.

Although Maya looked like a real Egibilian, she didn’t have the senses as biological beings.

You know I can’t feel like you. But according to my measurements I can assure you that today is a little bit hotter than usual.

I knew it. I feel it. It is not normal. It makes me feel not good.

She didn’t want to bother Maya more and got up and went to the bath to wash her face. The bath was beside her room on the right side. It was also covered in white. After she washed her face and combed the hair, she went back to the room and stayed in front of the big mirror with metallic buttons.

    What should I wear Maya?

I suggest you the metallic suit.

You say I should shine today, hmm?

You should shine as much as your brain shines my dear Lila.

Anyway, I don’t have much time. I will go for your suggestion.

Lila clicked on a button and then some scripts in Egibilian language appeared on the mirror. She used her finger to move the scripts. It was the list of the clothes she had available to wear. One could visit a shop on Egibil and buy a cloth after trying it. But they wouldn’t get it home inside bags. They could just buy it and give their code of mirror and then the clothes were being transferred to their mirror. Once it was transferred, they could download the cloth through teleportation system onto their body in a few seconds. And Lila did so too.

    Yes, I am ready!

The shiny metallic white jump suit covered all her body tightly making the curves clearer. She was 1.60 meters tall and a beautiful woman according to the Egibilian standards. After getting ready in a few seconds, she started having her breakfast.

    Where are mum and dad?

They have left and started earning money to sustain us alive by affording the food necessary.

Lila started laughing. She always found Maya’s expressions funny.

You mean they went to work?

    Indeed. I mean it.

Lila stood and touched Maya’s shoulder with affection.

I leave now. If I pass the exam, I can go as well each morning to earn money.

That would be great help for your mum and dad.

They don’t need my money, Maya.

That is discussable. But you shouldn’t leave without getting the necessary nutrition for your body.

I don’t have enough time to finish the breakfast.

Lila smiled at her and ran down the stairs towards the front door. Maya followed her. At the right side of the door a 50 cm long silver device stayed. There was also a platform at the bottom to step on. Lila put her feet on it and wrote the coordinates of the building she wanted to visit on the screen: 69.649208 – 18.955324

    Bye bye Maya.

    Good luck Lila.

And in a second Lila was teleported to one of the biggest buildings in the city. As she disappeared Maya smiled after her with affectionate eyes. The people of Egibil succeeded to create an artificial intelligence very similar to them. They were programmed to emit love although they couldn’t sense much what it meant. They just knew that they should make the people around happy.

As Maya wished again good luck to Lila in her mind, Lila appeared on the other side. She checked her outfit, got out of the platform and looked at the signboard at the entrance of the building: Stanil Institute. She smiled and moved in.

    5024 years ago

    In another galaxy

    One more bomb…

The terrifying sound of the explosions was bringing a flutter to her heart. The little girl with a brown tartan dress was hiding behind a huge metal dust bin. She was more terrified when a cat jumped out of the bin with the next explosion. It was running and meowing out of fear. It was as terrified as the little girl. It disappeared at the end of the street. The region was silent for a while. The bombers let the city rest for a few seconds. She searched the area with scared eyes. There was no one to talk at the bloody street where she was hiding. Her father had died in front of her eyes. Someone had shot him. But he succeeded to hide her before the villains realized the little girl. That was why she was still alive. She didn’t know where her mother was. The only thing she could remember was her father’s last words.

    Don’t move. Wait…

She was there since hours. Her father wasn’t speaking anymore. Just like other tens of people in the street. They were all sleeping, she thought.

    Dad… she touched his body.

She had told that word hundreds of times but he never answered. She waited. As her father said!

After her father, the sun also started leaving her on her own. It was getting dark. She was so afraid of the dark. She could never sleep alone when the sun went visiting other planets as her father was saying. You are a very big girl her father had told once. You are almost 7 years old. But she wasn’t feeling old enough to sleep on her own in the darkness. In those old good days before the killer birds arrived, she could sleep together with her mum and dad whenever she wanted. Even in the times when she wasn’t afraid, she was telling lie just to lie between them. Her mother’s scent was the most comforting thing for her. And holding her father’s hand was the most courage giving feeling.

Will I never sleep at home again?

She started crying. She was pushing her father non-stop, trying to move him, wake him up. But it was in vain. Her father was in deep sleep. She didn’t know what death meant. She had never seen dying people. But now she was in the middle of a blood lake with full of deep sleeping people.

    Mother…

Inside the Stanil Institute - Egibil

The blue lights were striking at the windows of the tallest building in the city. The giant white pyramid with a silver little pyramid shaped top was the ruling centre of the whole planet. Like the clothes of the people, everything around was totally white. All the buildings lay inside some complexes surrounded by white metallic walls which were approximately 50 cm in height. In each complex around 1000 people were living. From the sky it looked very organized. Some buildings had domes and contained silver metallic ornaments at the edges. The ornaments looked like concentric circles and each building had them. Some other buildings were rectangular and had sharp edges. In the middle of each complex there was one white pyramid shaped building as the giant pyramid which hosted the Stanil Institute. The people of the city were highly advanced at technology. However, there were no cars or flying objects around except the space shuttles and rockets they used to reach to space. The skies otherwise were clean.

The city in which Lila was living was called Babbar. It was the capital of the planet and very calm. The sun had already risen and the three moons were disappearing one by one. First Mondi, then Erta and lastly Suneta. Together with the sun, the view of a red neighbour planet with rings appeared at the sky. The people of Egibil called it Sarra.

That was Lila’s favourite planet. She loved watching it when she had nothing to do. She loved the slow appearance of the rings from the horizon. As a child she was always dreaming walking towards the end of the planet, reaching the rings and walking and running on them. When she grew up, she understood it wasn’t possible. But she continued watching the rings with fascinated eyes till today.

As she entered the building, she saw the small woman with yellowish skin, slanting eyes and black hair at the reception. She was so busy that she didn’t realize Lila’s arrival. On the one hand she tried checking some info on the screen, on the other hand she spoke to some people in front of the desk and at the microphone in her ear. She always looked like an earnest worker. Lila put her elbows on the desk and her hands on her face as she waited for attention. After five times Enna realized her.

Good morning Lila. I haven’t realized you. You are on time. Dr. Raider is waiting for you. Stato will come and take you to him.

    Lila greeted back.

    Good morning.

But as she heard the name of Stato, her had heart started beating so fast that she thought it was going to fly away.

    Oh, Stato.

    Did you say something?

Ah, no. I said ok I am waiting.

Enna informed Stato through a communication device. Lila sat on a couch at the corner as she waited but seemed very excited. She moved her feet hastily, hit her forefingers on the surface of the couch as she always did as she was excited. That was not the first times Lila was inside that building. It was a kind of global parliament building but ruled by the scientists. Whenever she arrived there, her heart lost the control. And Stato was the reason. He was a tall young man who attracted Lila much. However, she could never let him learn her interest. The 48 years old guy with green eyes was the assistant of Dr. Raider, the man who was going to decide on Lila’s future that day. Lila woke up from her dreams as she heard Stato’s voice.

    Welcome Lila.

She jumped at her seat and stood slowly. And then she turned to Enna making eye contact with her as if she was telling her something before she started walking with Stato.

Big day, hmm? How do you feel?

    I am very excited.

I have faith in you. You will succeed.

They passed many corridors with white metallic walls. The people working there had white clothes as usual. The women were wearing either a tight white dress or a metallic grey or white jumpsuits or some loose clothes with thin nets. The men were generally wearing linen like t-shirts and loose trousers. Stato had also followed the tradition. Lila found him very handsome in his white plain t-shirt. That day was very hot on Egibil. The temperature in Barbar was mostly over 30 degrees. Lila started to sweaten again in her jumpsuit although it was thin and was made from of a special material to prevent over sweatening. But that sweetening wasn’t just because of the heat at that moment. As they walked, she was talking to herself and daydreaming in her mind…

I am sure I will be successful in the exam. And when I leave maybe he calls me behind and says ‘Lila, would you like to celebrate your success? We can drink something in the orbit café.’ Then I behave as if I am thinking about his offer and I am busy but then say ‘Thanks. I have some time. We can drink a panta calida’. I should be cool and not let him realize that I like him. Maybe later we walk on the street till home. I don’t use the teleportation device and tell him that I would like to walk. And he comes with me. Sure, he would… Sure… But if I fail in the exam? Then nothing to celebrate. I should pass it… But then…

At that moment she realized that Stato was looking at her very seriously.

What are you thinking about so deeply?

    She lied immediately.

About the exam. Yes, the exam.

She tried not to look at him in the eye.

Don’t worry. It will be fine. Dr. Raider finds you very successful. I am sure he has seen something in you.

    What about you?

    Me?

I mean do you really believe that I will succeed or are you just trying to comfort me?

Of course, I believe in you. I told you several times today.

Ok, sorry. I am really excited.

Lila was angry with herself: Stop being that idiot. He just does his job as the assistance of Dr. Raider. He just accompanies you as a part of his duty. Don’t ask such stupid questions again.

    The elevator?

She was caught in thoughts again. When she was near him, time was flying as light. He asked her to get in.

Oh, thanks. One more step ha? Lila said.

    Yeah.

She walked towards the end of the wall in the elevator and stood very still without looking anywhere around. Just silent and steady. She was hoping to be able to stop the time at that moment. Whenever she felt helpless, that idea was always coming to her mind. For instance, as a child, she had damaged the teleportation device at home once. She had played with the buttons so much that in the end the programme of the device was broken. She was very afraid of her mother. Her mother was the dominant figure at home as it was today. After she realized what she had done, she had run to her room and hidden under her bed. First there, at the age of five, the idea of stopping the time had come to her mind. She had said if I could stop the time, nobody moves and nobody sees me. Then I can carry the teleportation device out to the dustbin somewhere far away. It might take so much time because it is heavy for me to carry. But if I can stop the time, I don’t need to worry about it. I carry it slowly and bring a new one home. And nobody would understand it. And mother wouldn’t be mad at me then. But soon she had realized that it was impossible when she heard the voice of her mother. She was screaming out her name downstairs.

    Lila, Lila, come here!

She didn’t want to get out of where she was. After a few try her mother decided to go upstairs herself. Lila was getting smaller and smaller under the bed as she was in the womb of her mother. After a few second later her mother opened the door.

    Miss, where are you?

She looked around and then spotted her.

What are you doing there? Come out. I say come out! she repeated her words loudly.

Ok, mother. I am sorry. If I had the chance to stop the time, I could change it without making you angry and sad. Are you sad?

Her mother felt sorry for shouting at that much. Lila was always a sensitive girl like her father. Her mother wanted her to be as strong as her. But she wasn’t like other children. She had always different ideas.

No, I am not that sad. I just wanted to talk to you her mother had said.

Lila had a little hope in her heart when she heard those words. She started to move towards her mother.

I am sorry. Really. I wished a lot for that time thing. You had told me if I wish something so much, I can realize it. I wished really that big but I couldn’t stop the time.

    Her mother hugged her.

Don’t worry baby. It is not important. You can’t stop or change the time. So, it is very important to live each second of your life very carefully because you can’t change any moment once it has been lived.

But Lila had never given up her strange ideas about time and space. In the elevator she was wishing again to stop the time. She could then watch Stato as long as she wanted. And without having fear to look at him. She could just sit there and watch his green eyes hours long. And she could wait as long as till she felt ready for the exam.

    There we are Stato said.

Lila remembered the speech she had made with her mother at the age of five.

    If I could I would.

    Sorry?

    Nothing. Let’s go.

As they went out, they started walking among the whiteness again. And then they were there, in front of the room of Dr. Raider, the leader of the planet. She glimpsed at Stato and after a short walk they entered the room. Dr. Raider was standing in front of the window, his back towards them. He turned back as they entered and greeted her.

Hello Lila. Are you ready to help our community to find out the secrets of our planet?

Yes, Dr. I hope I will have that chance Lila said.

Fine… Then let’s move on to the machine.

The children of Egibil weren’t getting a traditional education. Till 40 years old they were transferring the thematic information to the chips in the brains of the young according to the field they choose with the help of a computer programme. They had also practical education. In the end the machine would decide how the candidate mastered the information through an analysis of the nerves. The green sign meant graduation.

Lila looked at the destiny machine as she called it and sat on a chair. The device had metallic arms at both sides. As the arms moved up, they got closer on the head of Lila. The arms had hand like parts. Those hands covered her head and started making strange sounds during the analysis. She was silent and her eyes were closed. Please, please give me a green sign she was saying inside. She was just hearing the Beep sound each five seconds. The analysis took around 10 times. When the Beep sounds were no more audible, she opened her eyes and saw a big green sign on the screen.

Yes! I am an archaeologist now she shouted.

She looked at Stato and twinkled. At that time Dr. Raider received a message and seemed very worried.

Children, may I ask your pardon? It is an emergency. Congratulations Lila. Sorry for the hush but it seems urgent. We will talk again. And Stato I will need you later.

Stato approved him with his head. Lila thanked Dr. Raider and they left the room. As they walked, they saw Karlinda and Michael Dorton, the two scientists running at the corridor towards Dr. Raider’s room. Lila was very curious.

    What is going on?

I have no idea. I haven’t seen such hurry here before. Anyway, I congratulate you. You are not a student of that planet anymore. You are a professional archaeologist now as you always wanted and will contribute to our community starting from today Stato smiled at her.

Yes, I can’t believe in that.

She was so happy and wanted to hug him. However, she had to stop herself. They looked at each other for a while. And he left. She felt a little bit disappointed because nothing had happened as she had imagined.

He didn’t even ask to drink something she sighed.

She looked behind Stato a few seconds and then turned back and moved. As she turned back to the reception, she realized Enna was as busy as before. Lila didn’t want to talk to anyone. She just looked ahead and walked fast till the teleportation device. And in a few seconds, she was back home.

    Not ready to hear

    It was just white...

The whiteness of the city was dazzling his eyes… And what he just heard was also puzzling his brain. He stood a very long time his hands at his back watching outside.

Dr. Raider preferred being silent for a while. Actually, he didn’t know what to say. As he learned about the facts, he knew he had the same agony on his face just like what he saw on Karlinda and Michael’s faces.

As both scientists entered the room hastily, Karlinda pointed her tablet out to Dr. Raider. He could see the dried tears around her eyes. She tried to seem calm but it was difficult for her to do that:

Dr. Raider. I am afraid I have some bad news she had said. What we suspected came true. We repeated all the radar measurements several times.

Dr. Raider put his right hand on the table. He needed some kind of support.

    And?

We have only a few years for a complete destruction she completed her words.

So, does it mean that the analysis of the probe we sent to Laterna was correct?

Karlinda and Michael looked at each other. The short silence was like hours for Dr. Raider. Michael Dorton answered his question.

    Yes, unfortunately it is correct.

    That can’t be true.

Dr. Raider started walking in the room back and front. The people of Egibil were living in peace since thousands of years on the planet. They didn’t have any little problem till now. They didn’t have wars, fights, ambitions, illnesses… And now? The biggest catastrophe was about to occur but it wasn’t their mistake. The mother nature was about to send her destructive powers soon. Dr. Raider looked at Michael Dorton for a confirmation for the last time.

    It is real, sir!

He felt all his body was shivering. The first thing he could think of was his wife and his son. He had imagined a very long and easy life for his son when he was born, when he held his little hand the first time he met him. He had big dreams for him. He thought maybe one day he could be so successful as him and be the director of the Stanil Institute as he did. That little man with still brown hair and who had an off-the-wall look with his thin moustache had never felt that powerless in his life.

5024 years old civilization! All our creations! What will we do now? Is there any way to stop the explosion of the sun? he asked.

That is not possible you know Michael Dorton answered. Though it is a very young star. It is its last stellar evolutionary stage. And sir, we don’t have such a technology.

He walked towards the window and looked at the sun. It was not a life-giving star anymore but the destroyer of the planets for him.

How much time do we have?

If our calculations are right, we have 8 years to leave the planet. The last year before supernova the planet will not be suitable for living. The atmosphere will be poisoned and the radiation will reach to intolerable levels. No one and nothing will survive the last year. We should relocate our people as soon as possible.

    Relocate!

He turned back with an angry look on his face.

Oh, my child! Do you think it is so easy? Or even possible? You are very young. You are all very young and know nothing almost 120 years old Dr. Raider said.

What do you mean sir? Karlinda asked.

We will talk about it later. Summon the congress of the scientists in an hour. I want all the representatives here. You may leave.

Dr. Raider was the director of the Stanil Institute and also the world leader. On Egibil the planet was being ruled by the scientists since the beginning of the civilization. In each 10 years the Stanil Institute had a new director and so the planet a new ruler. The congress of the scientists. It included all the 10 sector leaders around the planet.

After the two scientists left, Dr. Raider went back to his table and sat by setting his eyes on a painting covering the whole wall. It was a very old painting and nobody knew its age.

There was a beautiful blond woman on it. She was standing in an oyster shell. She was naked and had very long reddish tightly braided hairs. She was holding his hair to cover his intimate parts. There was another woman at the right who was holding a red cape to cover her nakedness. That beautiful lady had always impressed Dr. Raider. Whenever he looked at her, he was saddened by her sadness and fascinated by her beauty. She was staying so as if she felt not belonging there. Dr. Raider had the same feeling at that moment. He felt also very naked and not belonging where he was. He didn’t know how to continue his life from then on. Not just his life but also the lives of the people he was responsible for were at stake. The Laterna, the power source which kept them alive thousands of years long was about to throw them out of the planet. He looked at the painting a few moments more and then took a key from his pocket and opened a locked drawer at his table. There was a little silver box in it. He took it and put on the table. His eyes were set on the box. He had forgotten the sad lady in the painting. He was thinking if he should open the box or not. He thought maybe it was the time. Then the blond lady in colours attracted his attention again.

Maybe not. No, my lady. It is not the time. You should wait a little more.

He wasn’t ready. He took the box and put it back into the drawer. He locked it. The clacking sound of the lock was still in his ears as he put the key in his pocket before he stood to leave the room.

    Lila is with her family

The dispersing blue light enlightened the whole room. As Lila appeared on the platform at home, there was a huge smile on her face. She stood a little bit there. She was happy to have passed the exam. And she was also happy to have spent some time with Stato. Maya heard about her arrival and ran to the door.

Welcome back Lila. May I congratulate you? Have you succeeded in your reconfiguration?

Maya, I am not a robot. I am not reconfigured. But yes, you may congratulate me.

As she said that she opened her arms to hug Maya.

I am an archaeologist now. And I promise I will find out where we come from!

That is great. It was always your ambition.

Since childhood Lila not just tried to stop the time, but also tried to find out about the facts on the creation of the people of Egibil. That was why she wanted to be an archaeologist. She believed she could find some traces on their origin if she studied on that field. She always believed that the scientists of the Stanil Institute didn’t have enough desire to answer that question. They had a creation myth that her father told when she was little as each Egibilian parents told their children. However, she never found that story very cogent. According to their myth which was called Laterna mother’s children one day Laterna sent its rays to the sky of Egibil. Those rays met with the lights which came from the depths of the planet. As the both lights mingled in the sky, there appeared the first children of Egibil. And they fell down to the surface of the planet and then they increased in number. They were the first ancestors of the Egibilian people. When her father Cova told that story, she was 20 years old. She had tried to imagine people pouring from the sky as she listened. Even one day she had spent the whole day outside to see if any people were going to fall from the sky. On that day she had taken Maya together with, the two girls had sat under a pink tree with all the food and water necessary for the day. Lila had asked by showing the sky:

Maya, do you think I fell from there also. Were you here as I arrived?

Maya was programmed to answer all the possible questions including the nonsense ones.

No, Lila. I arrived after you. But as far as I know you didn’t come from the sky. All the babies in Babbar enter the planet in Kilknas and then they are brought to their homes by their parents.

Kilknas was a birth clinic. All the babies were born there in Babbar.

But why do you think my father told me such a story? Why do all the people believe in that story?

It is what they were told by their elders and what the studies say.

As she grew up, Lila started to find that myth old fashioned and with full of lies. It wasn’t scientific at all for her.

I cannot understand. It is nonsense to think that. If the first people fell from the sky, why not I or other little babies fall also from the sky?

Maybe after the first people fell on the surface, they decided that it was easier to live here than in the sky.

    Lila had smiled at her.

That might be correct. It would be very difficult to live up there. You need to be able to fly, don’t you?

Yes, you can’t stand still there otherwise.

Could the first people fly? How did they appear there at the first hand?

    I don’t think they could.

Lila had many conspiracy theories. Her mind was working so fast and creating hundreds of scenarios about the issues that bothered her.

Do you know what I think? Maybe they weren’t flying at all. Maybe they arrived here with a spaceship from somewhere else.

Lila… Again, your alien theories! The first people on the planet were primitive compared to us. They didn’t have any spaceships or rockets.

    How do you know it?

    Our scientists say so!

Why do you believe in everything they say?

Because they do research about all the questions and give the most plausible answers.

She didn’t believe in the mainstream scientists much too. She thought they were covering up some facts. She always said We are not the plants popping up from the soil at a night. That they didn’t have any evidence about life earlier than 5000 years made her always suspicious.

    "I don’t
