About this ebook

True individualism is to acknowledge and accept the differences of others; to live the life you want to live without interfering on your neighbor - or any other human being. Live and let live, it's that simple. That's the core of Fred Andersson's philosophy humorously named Cheerful Satanism. This is the second collection of essays on the subject of being free, the first one being Homo Satanis: How I Learned to Love Satan and other Insights from my Childhood, published in 2018.

In Homo Satanis 2: The Devil Made Me Do It! Fred brings up his own personal views on Satanism, individualism, friendships, patriotism, the danger of victimhood, family, christianity, psychic vampirism, love and hate, truth and reality, sex and many other subjects. It's honest and frank, straight to the point - and with a non-judgmental attitude. These texts are meant as an inspiration to cultivate your own uniqueness and embracing similarities to others without giving up on your own existence.

    Introduction.

The book you’re holding in your hand took longer to write than the first, Homo Satanis: How I Learned to Love Satan and other Insights from my Childhood, and is packed with a more defined view of my philosophy, insights and experiences. I’ve learned a lot since the last, and I’ve tried to be more to the point this time.

You will find less - but it’s not without it - biographical elements, and to some degrees maybe a harsher tone. But my attitude stay strong: individualism should be about happiness and not self-pitying and whining and my Satanism is still the same; cheerful and optimistic.

Some of the texts are born from discussions and posts on Twitter, Patreon, the official Homo Satanis Facebook page - but most it is written directly for this book.

The devil is a myth, a hellish fairy tale figure created scare those who can’t deal with their existence, but to me his presence as symbol of independence, freedom, self-respect and individualism is as strong as ever. Yeah, the devil made me do it - and I will continue to do so as long as I live.

The Devil Made Me Do It.

If the sin is endorsed by the devil, then the devil made me do it. What’s more fun; go to church and listen to a boring sermon about eternal life after death or living life to the fullest, experiencing and learning from every source possible before death?

    I know what I choose.

A friend of the family, a very Christian woman, was afraid of words including the word devil, like Devilfish or Daredevil. Imagine living in a fear for an imaginary being like that? Imagine setting up your life to please the great almighty someone up here? Just imagine!

I don’t blame Christianity for everything, there’s other religions also that should take responsibility for the damage they've done instead of blaming it on either Satan’s shenanigans or saying it’s the will of god.

    I don’t blame anyone actually. I don’t blame. It’s that simple.

Most adults have the intelligence to make decisions, and in one way or another that responsibility lays in their own hands. I’m aware everyone comes from different backgrounds, but there’s still a matter of choice somewhere along the road: to live or give up.

I’m an adult. I take responsibility for every so-called sin I commit, which often means I don’t give a fuck. It’s my universe and in my universe I live by my rules… as long as I deliberately don’t hurt anyone. But not hurting people is impossible; nothing is for free. Someone’s paying for it somewhere, no matter what you do.

A sin is always something the more righteous person (no matter religion, politics or background) is feeling envy of. They can’t have sex with whoever who wants to have sex with them. They aren't allowed to take illegal substances or enjoy the same sinful entertainment through movies and books like other people. According to them we shouldn't have opinions that goes against theirs. They’re jealous of the freedom we have and they don’t and do everything they can to limit the freedom of others.

Sinning makes righteous people upset. Which is good.

What I’m saying here, eat that extra slice of cake and enjoy life. If the religious folks calls it sinning, please sin. A lot. All the time. Fuck, eat, have fun, laugh, be smart, be stupid, be whoever you are - as long you’re doing it for you own sake and not trying to push your agenda on those that don’t ask for it.

If sinning actually existed outside the religious brain, what’s your favorite sin?

    The Company You Keep.

The moment you start to exist to me is when you open your mouth, use your fingers to write or set something in motion by physical action. Before that you're a cat in a box, neither dead nor alive... and it's up to you too not let out the cyanide.

Human value is a sensitive subject, but in my eyes your value is how you use your intellect; that amazing mind of yours. If you use it for hate, stupidity, self-fulfillment on the expense of others against their will, then you’re not worth much in my eyes. But if you understand your value, no matter your social status or amount of money on your account, then you’re worth a lot to me - and to others.

I’ve noticed it can take some time for people to show me their true face, like they’re afraid of how I will react. And yes, if I’ve known you for a longer period and you suddenly reveal yourself like an idiot, then I’ll cut you out from my life without much hesitation. It’s not being cold-hearted, it’s just controlling the content of my universe. I’m sure you have friends elsewhere, with similar moronic ideas and values, so you won’t be alone in yours.

You just don’t belong in my life.

To delete this kind of personalities and opinions from my life have made me a healthier, happier person. I don’t need the debate or that kind of stimulation: that’s completely unnecessary for me - and me is what counts here.

I prefer having open-minded friends around me, people with whom I can talk openly, without judgment. A long time I got so tired of having to guard my tongue that I decided that the problem doesn’t lie with me, it lies with the company I keep.

Don’t be afraid to loose friends… or so-called friends.

First of all, if you having thoughts of removing a friend from your universe that probably means that this is not a true friend anyway. Because why would you think like that about someone you really like? If you’re not paranoid of course, but then I say you should contact a doctor instead and deal with it through therapy.

Second, do this friend of yours give YOU something? Anton LaVey once wrote What good are friends if they can’t do you any good? Maybe it sounds cynical? Yeah, but life can be tough to deal with, and you only live once - so use that time well. Do well to those you respect and expect them to good for you. Give love to those who deserve it, as you all know.

    Censor this, Assholes!

So you think censorship of movies is good because it protects children from dangerous culture? Well, fuck you, you fucking fuck. Are you one of those who actually believe in the propaganda that a person can be a killer, a violent person or getting a drug addiction just because movie or a book or even a song brings up the subject? Then you’ve really bought the wrong fucking book. Go fuck off somewhere… OR continue to read and learn something about how censorship works and why it’s one of the vilest, sickest inventions of all time.

The reason censorship exists is that those above you in paygrade don’t want you to think by yourself. They want you to just accept what’s being served on a shiny, fun loving silver platter - but what they don’t say is that the silver dazzles you and makes your eyes not see clear. If your entertainment is served as uncomplicated
