Don't Blame the Booze

About this ebook
Neil Pike writes a humorous view on serious subject matters, giving sound directives to live longer without having to abstain from fun and alcohol. He’s still enjoying a very colourful lifestyle floating the globe as he has done for the last 45 years. It hasn’t always been peaches and cream, with shit hitting the fan too many times, and too many near-death experiences. Also, losing too many friends along the way.
Having experience in food, pharmaceuticals, and horticulture opened many doors. Neil travelled and befriended famous doctors and leading scientists, along with some of the rich and famous.
This all led to wanting to write down some directives for his own survival and that of those close to him. He speaks about easily achievable compromises, which will do no more than tacking a few more years on this longevity trip.
Neil Pike
Neil was born in Melbourne, Australia, began his misadventures and near-death experiences too young along with his traveling. Hitched to Kings Cross at 15. Lived in Perth, Sydney and Tasmania. 1975 off to Bali, then '78 ventured off to Thailand, Malaysia, Europe and pretty well never let up roaming the globe. Had a crack in the food industry, then pharmaceuticals before horticulture, prematurely retiring at 45. Gave living in Holland, Italy, Spain, Thailand, and England a go before finally making his mainstays France and the Philippines. Been on many a bender with all from scally-wags, gangsters, lawyers, QC’s, bank robbers, bikers, librarians, drug dealers, hit men, war vets, every colour and creed. Travelled with some of Australia, UK and Europe’s leading scientists, world-famous doctors to Sirs, Lords, their Ladies and those rich and famous who all liked a drink and a giggle too. Primed up loose-lips probably exposed a tad too much stuff one cannot Google or find in any media.Never ceasing the obsession of seeking new adventures anywhere, rarely spotted without a bevy in hand having a laugh. Realizing nearly too late, there had to be a compromise somewhere along this ride. Did and so far, seemed to of worked. Now 61, still fit as, flitting about one side of the planet to the other with no intention of ever passing up on having a decent sip.
