No Need to Apply - 7 Easy Steps to Land a Dream Job Without Appying - Jack B. Lackie
Introduction
I did not know what I wanted to do with my life in high school and even later in college. In high school, I took one of those career inventory assessments. You know those obnoxious career tests the school counselors use to see what you might be interested in doing with your life? You remember those were those tests used to identify whether you want to work inside, outside, or maybe with people or things. I cannot recall the parameters I selected that brought me to my best job
. All I can remember, as I pulled out the microfiche, (we lacked the availability of computers back then) that my dream job was to be a dancer
. Just imagine my astonishment (my physical features most resembling Quasimodo), how disappointed I was with this result. The funny thing is, the counselor laughed when she saw the outcome and quickly helped me to retake the assessment. To my amazement, it came out the same the second time. The counselor’s reply, Honey, you better buy some dancing shoes
.
