WHAT IS THE LAW OF ATTRACTION?

The Law of Attraction is essentially summed up in the phrase like attracts like. The idea is that like attitudes and mindsets (i.e., vibrational states) will attract like things into one’s life. So if you are positive and expecting the best, then you will attract things that are positive and the best in your life.

The whole like attracts like concept is a simple way to understand it, but it is more of a misnomer than anything. For example, in a magnet like polarity does not attract like polarity. The north pole on a magnet will repel the north pole of another magnet, but it will attract the south pole. What may be a better way to understand this is that your attitude/mindset/vibrational state will cause you to be aligned with things that match that state.

You cannot be wallowing around in hatred and attract love, nor can you expect the worst in life and get the best. You will attract not just what you think about, but who you really are. This truth about the Law of Attraction is why negative people always seem to have more negative things occurring in their lives. They are attracting more of that negativity to themselves. This is why the world calls some people lucky because they are always in a positive vibrational state and attract good things into their lives.

In popular culture, the law of attraction is commonly presented as some magical fantasy where you can have whatever you say or think about long enough. In one very popular documentary about the Law of Attraction, it is presented as being just like if a person is merely picking what they want out of a catalog and then it magically appears if they think correctly. This may be many people’s presentation of the Law of Attraction but is not accurate. Tragically, for most of the naïve people who adopt this approach, it does not work for them, and they eventually reject it altogether.

Even celebrities have hopped on the Law of Attraction bandwagon and talk about how they manifested this thing or that thing; meanwhile they have left God out of the equation completely. While there may be some truth to the fact that they got what they focused on and believed for, it is never without sorrow when faith in God is left out of the process.

For most, many people find out very quickly that the Law of Attraction does not work for them because what they have been told about the Law of Attraction really is not true, or they are missing many ingredients to the overall mix. As with any recipe, for example, if you do not have all the proper ingredients, then you will not produce the food that you wanted to make. And for many, the Law of Attraction has been presented as cutting out pictures, having vision boards, visualizing, saying affirmations, and being positive about something and then you will magically attract whatever you want. If you have tried the Law of Attraction and have not attained the results you desired, then this may have been what you believed about the Law of Attraction.

Now things such as vision boards, visualization, affirmations, and other tools can be helpful to get what you desire, but when they are missing faith in God, they become the mere materialistic pursuits of a carnal mind.

I found LoA several years ago and have at times had some incremental success but never breakthrough success I feel I could in my heart. I dream of so much success and all the plans I have to help as many people as possible while I’m here on earth, but some past wrong beliefs and pain have held me back from feeling like I deserve it. I’m also a BAC and always felt in my heart the LoA was a universal law God created but it was / is very taboo in the Christian world. I cannot even mention it to most other Christians I know. I’m also a student of quantum physics and see how this law is proven out as true even now by science— amazing!!! …but try to tell the average Christian this and they will think you’ve become possessed. I feel like this book does a fantastic job of setting the record straight and demystifying all the LoA hype into what’s actually “hidden” in plain sight in the Bible. Thank you for this perspective, it was exactly what I needed, exactly when I needed it! PTL! God is always good! I’m now excited to read the rest of your work and inspired to keep progressing on pursuing those big dreams.?✝️

It's a short book and to the point. I always had this feeling that there was something off about my Christian faith. I had studied the law of attraction and enjoyed it. But I believed it contradicted scripture. I thought it was either one or the other. After reading this I realize I was holding false beliefs about some of the scriptures I was reading. I knew Jesus had said whatever you ask for in faith and believe for, you will receive. But I had this belief that only certain things qualified. I had read Jesus came to give me an abundant life but in my mind there were limitations to that. This book only served to point out where I was limiting God and therefore limiting my blessing. I shouldn't pray believing I don't deserve what I asked for. I should pray and believe God is good, loving and faithful to provide. Great book. Affirmed things I was questioning. A day well spent.

Its one of the raw christian books about the law of attraction which is a law of god. Don't be afraid to read it god will bless you for it. It's not new age stuff. Ryan Hicks is a true believer.
