About this ebook

The concept of co-creation with God has only been hinted at throughout the centuries. Every now and then something close to this teaching would arise, and mainstream religion would crush it out, often with swift and brutal violence. To these religionists, humanity was to be viewed as powerless and dependent on the religious institutions and systems for their power. To expect any power with God was viewed as pure heresy. God has not left you alone in this world to be tossed about to and fro by chance and circumstances. You can live the life that you desire to live once you learn how to become a co-creator with God! Co-creation with God is something that every person can do since they are created in the image and likeness of God. Co-creation with God is something that every person can do since they are created in the image and likeness of God, but this knowledge has been kept away from most people. This keeps the common person in a perpetual state of creating a life they do not want to be living, and yet they believe that they are the hopeless victims of circumstances that they have no control over. This book will reveal how this is not the case and how you can take control of your life, align yourself with God through Christ Jesus, and begin to co-create with God!

Wow! Fantastic read!! I’m a middle aged woman who became a BAC in college after my best friend had an NDE and went from an pronounced atheist to devout Christian. God was always my friend since childhood when I needed comfort thru a challenging childhood (my parents were narcissistic agnostics, at best) and that experience confined what I knew it my hear. There was a God, he loved me unconditionally… like Christ loved everyone unconditionally. I love my parent but spent my life as a raging codependent because of them. I married a psychopathic covert narcissist that I was magnetically attracted to as our dysfunctions attracted each other. I spent 22 years trying to become the perfect Christian wife and mom— with a husband who used his religion to control and manipulate everyone and everything while he was an angry, bitter, vengeful and sometimes criminal, ‘Christian.’ Fast forward since my divorce, years of therapy and wondering how so many Christian’s I had met used scripture to hurt themselves and others, and to control and manipulate others. The love was anything but unconditional! I recall thinking this does not feel like the Christianity I adopted or how Christ would behave. I was told because I was a ‘new’ Christian I did not really know how to behave and I should just keep my mouth shut and thoughts to myself. Wowza. :/ I only give this background to explain why I think this book is easily the best and most powerful book on how I believe God intended his universal laws, the scripture to support it very clearly, how we truly are co creators but not God (I like to think of myself as an extension, expression of God :) and the life and example of Christ to actually work on this planet. If you are a Christian wondering what on earth is going on in the church and / or with other Christian’s you meet who seem consumed by judgement and hypocrisy, and you are wondering why prayers continually go unanswered.. this book may help clarify a LOT!!! I’m going to start it over and keep it as a reference manual! Thank you Ryan ! Truly inspiring in so many ways!!

Co-Creators With God - Ryan Hicks

INTRODUCTION

The concept of co-creation with God has only been hinted at throughout the centuries. Every now and then something close to this teaching would arise and mainstream religion would crush it out, oftentimes with swift and brutal violence. To these religionists, humanity was to be viewed as powerless and dependent on the religious institutions and systems for their power. To expect any power with God was viewed as pure heresy.

They would not always do this by directly referencing their perceived authority under God but would often suggest pains of eternal hellfire for questioning their traditions. For many, even the idea of questioning the doctrines of the priest, pastor, or bishop was considered direct rebellion against God. They would even threaten the saints with Scripture, saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm (1 Chronicles 16:22; Psalms 105:15), as if people seeking to operate at a higher level in union with God was an attack on any of God’s truly anointed or His prophets.

The reality is that such questioning was most often done in fidelity to God. It was not done out of rebellion or trying to be different. It was done out of a desire for the deeper things of God, something that most traditional religion simply cannot offer humanity.

The tragic reality is that the framework for this teaching has always been in the Bible, but it was overlooked by those who either could not or would not see it. Part of this is understandable as the average person does not want to be ostracized from their peer group. To bring truths from the Scripture that have been ignored will bring persecution, excommunication, and maybe even violence.

Most often the only people who embraced these truths were those on the outside of the Church and were involved with other things contrary to the truth. The sad thing is that they were the only ones who were open to the truth in this matter, but they were also too open and tended to blindly accept a lot of error (mixed in with a little truth). The religious approach was simply to reject any position that these people held to rather than investigate if there was any truth to some of the teachings that they held to.

Of the religious who saw these truths, most tried to cloak them in flowery words so as to avoid harm from their co-religionists, but all this cloaking ended up doing was washing away the power of God behind the truths they had found. Some even came up with sayings that gave an ever so slight hint at the truth of co-creation with God, such as:

Birds of a feather, flock together.

What comes around, goes around.

You will reap what you sow.

There are even negative versions of these sayings that show people had a small insight to the fact that if they believe negatively about their life and circumstances, then they would see that negativity manifest in their circumstances, such as:

Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong.

Life is hard, and then you die.

No pain, no gain.

In many cases, even if anyone ever discovered in the Scripture the truth behind such common sayings, they would often find ways to spiritualize them away. They would talk of the poetry of the verses or the majesty of God, all the while ignoring the practical purposes for the truths that they were dismissing.

None of this should be surprising because the traditions of men have always found a way to remove God, His power, and His faith from what is commonly accepted (Mark 7:9). In the traditions of men, God becomes a mere shell of a being representing certain laws and instructions for men, but little else. In the truth, though, God is a living, loving, and powerful Creator. He is trying to live through everyone on this planet, if they will allow Him. He desires union with them and that they will rise above the fleshly lusts that hold so many people back from their full potential in Christ Jesus.

John 3:16-17

16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

So important was humanity to God that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. While the religionists have created a deity that is causing suffering and acts of God (which are always horrible events like hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes, etc., never things like flowers blooming, children being born, or other blessings). To them God did not seek union with man and man was no different than the insects. Man may have had dominion over the earth, but they had no more power than physically within them.

John 1:9

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

God had placed that divine spark within each human, that true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. God has never removed this light, though men may cover it up through iniquity, it is always there as long as they are a living soul. It is within this light that we find the power of God to create, ponder, think, and act.

When I first started following Jesus I was 16 years old. I did not come from a Christian home, nor did I know much about Christianity. I started attending a small Independent Fundamentalist Baptist church in Denton, Texas. I remember having many discussions with the Pastor there, lovingly called Preacher, about the gifts of the Spirit, healing, faith, and other subjects that seemed missing from the experience at that church. I guess my questions frustrated him at times, because his arguments kept going back to church history or how we do things as Baptists. Several times when discussing how he believed that the gifts of the Spirit passed away when the New Testament was completed, he exasperatingly told me, You would probably be better off in a Spirit-filled church and that he could not help me learn about the gifts and power of God.

When I finally went to Spirit-filled churches I did find a lot of knowledge and operation in the power of God, but even in this environment, the traditions of men had come in and made much of the word of God of none effect (Mark 7:13). Some gifts of the Spirit were highly sought after and people would be praised when operating in them, while other gifts of the Spirit were never in use or were even shunned.

Why were certain gifts shunned or limited? Oftentimes no one even knew. It could have been one church member used a gift inappropriately or out of order (1 Corinthians 14:40) and the church had decided to limit the use of that gift to rein in that member. Years had since past and that member was not even there any longer, but the limitation on that gift was still in effect. Now it had become a tradition and even if the tradition had no perceived useful purpose any longer, no one was willing to give it up.

There is a parable that teaches about how such traditions can cause us to do things incorrectly or inaccurately. There was a woman who was cooking an eggplant. She cut it in half and threw away the bottom half, cooking only one half of the plant. Her husband asked her one day, Dear, why do you throw away half of the eggplant? She said, I don’t know, that is the way my mother always did it. A few days later her mother was over for a visit and the woman asked her, Mom, why do we only use half of the eggplant when cooking it? The mother said, I am not sure, that is the way my mother always did it. Now everyone’s curiosity was piqued, so they called the woman’s grandmother and asked her why they threw away half of the eggplant. The grandmother said, Oh that? My favorite pan would only hold half an eggplant. The point being that there were two generations of people doing something for no reason other than it was a tradition, a tradition that had never even applied to their situation.

I have been in many dozens of churches over the years and this same pattern repeats itself in all of them. This is a pattern that is common in all humans and in all human belief systems. People get stuck in traditions and certain ways of doing things, and then never want to consider any other way. Even if the Scripture tells them something else, they interpret that Scripture based on their tradition. The tradition literally blinds them from seeing the truth and makes them deaf to hearing the truth.

Mark 4:23

23  If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.

I know the idea of considering new things such as being a co-creator with God is not very high on most people’s list of things to do. I must presume that you are different since you are reading this book. You may be stuck in traditions and patterns that are no longer serving you the best. You may not even see 2% of these traditions operating in your life at this moment, but you have the leading of the Spirit via your intuition telling you that you need what this book has to offer. You want a relationship with God that is growing and that is not something offered in most churches today. Everything might be going great in your life, but you may simply hear that still small voice in your spirit calling you to be more than you currently are.

It is hard for many to even admit to themselves, but traditional Christianity is not working for most people. Doctrines of men, traditions, and theological precepts have been exalted above union with God in most of Christianity today. Just look at any forums, social media, or comment sections of websites. Are people discussing their experiences with God and how to get closer to Him, or are they mainly arguing over doctrines, attacking one another, and seeking division as much as possible?

1 Corinthians 3:3

3  For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?

As you learn about being a co-creator with God, you will start to experience God more and operate in His love more. While correct doctrine will remain important, living that doctrine in a way that best minsters God’s grace to all will increase in importance for you.

The concept of co-creation with God does not mean that you are creating ex nihilo or out of nothing. That is strictly within the ability of God alone. It also does not mean that you become God Himself, or that faculties like your human imagination are God in man. You remain His creation, but you operate at a higher level than the base human experience (which is fairly spiritually diluted). You are operating like God (i.e. godly), but you are not Him, nor are you becoming Him. Any abilities to co-create are gifts from God through His creation, not powers you formed on your own, nor did you acquire them through ascension or any other misconception of the human imagination. All co-creation is because of God, through God, and in God.

Acts 17:28

28  For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

When you read and apply the teachings in this book you will progress from the normal way of living which is from the outside inward. Instead, you will begin living from the inside outward. Circumstances will no longer rule you and determine your inward thoughts and feelings, but your inward thoughts and feelings will create your circumstances.

It is a very rare human today that truly realizes that their thoughts, feelings, and actions are already creating the circumstances that they experience each day. Most are simply not conscious of it at all, and the dulling effect of the way the average person lives their life makes it near impossible to awake to the truth.
