About this ebook

Albert Fish was a rapist, a child killer and a cannibal who not satisfied with the torture and murders of his young victims would write to the parents to detail all of the vile things he did to the children. One such letter in this book. Albert Fish may have been the sickest serial killer to ever live. He would keep his young victims alive for days and beat them constantly to tenderize their flesh for cooking.

John Wayne Gacy, the Killer Clown, who raped and murdered young men then buried their bodies beneath his home.

The Hillside Stranglers were a pair of cousins who for months terrorized the state of California. These two sadistic creatures would kidnap women, rape them and then strangle them to death before dumping their bodies along hillsides. No one would be safe from them, prostitutes, students, and children would be targeted by them. Rarely in the history of the world has two men worked so effectively together as killers.

Carl Panzram bragged about murdering twenty-one men. He claimed to have raped over one thousand men and boys. This evil creature promised to kill anyone who bothered him and keeping that promise with the murder of a fellow inmate finally got him the death penalty that he deserved.

The Boston Strangler Albert Henry DeSalvo terrorized a major America city. The rapes and murders that were committed between 1962-64 are legendary. Thirteen women were sexually assaulted and strangled between the ages of  19 -85 years of age.

Russian serial killer, Andrei Chikatilo murdered at least fifty-two women and children. This Russian madman had free rein for almost two decades to prey on the innocent because he lived in a country that until he came along refused to believe that a serial killer could exist there.

H.H. Holmes is considered by many to be America's first serial killer. This man confessed to twenty-seven murders, but the actual number could be over two hundred murders. Men, women, children, his family members, his children, friends and enemies, no one was off limits to this man who actually earned a degree as a medical doctor.

The second volume of my series on serial killers will introduce you to the women who committed serial killings. These evil women are every bit as cruel and ruthless as their male counterparts. There is a myth that men are the only ones who engage in this type of behavior, sadly that is only a myth as you will learn after reading about only a few of the women who have committed serial killings.

I am going to introduce you to a few well-known killers such as Elizabeth Bathory, A.K.A, the Countess of blood. Aileen Wuornos a woman who inspired the film Monster. Leslie Van Houten, a woman who committed murder for Charles Manson. Jane Toppan, a nurse, who killed dozens of her patients. Amelia Dyer, the baby farm murderer, killed hundreds of newborns. Yes, I said hundreds.

Delfina and Maria de Gonzales murdered an estimated 91 to 110 men, women and fetuses from the 1950s until 1963.

Debra Brown was the willing accomplice, and Alton Coleman was the vicious killer. Both African-American, they preyed upon other black people, thinking it would be harder for them to be caught.

Carol M. Bundy and Doug Clark, known to the public as the Sunset Strip Killers. The team of serial killers conducted their killing spree during the summer of 1980. By the time it was over, Bundy and Clark were responsible for the deaths of at least nine people.

    CHAPTER ONE  ALBERT FISH

    - I like children they are tasty.- Albert Fish

Why would a killer take the time and accept the risk of capture by writing a letter to a parent of one of the children that he murdered? That questioned puzzled me before I finished my research into the life and crimes of Albert Fish. The answer that I found was the most obvious. Albert Fish was a sadist. This sadistic monster got off on inflicting pain in any and all ways possible. He would keep his child victims alive for days, beating them to tenderize their meat so that they would taste better when he butchered and ate them. Telling a parent what he did was just one more way for him to dine on tears.

This is a letter that he wrote to the mother of one of his victims.

    ––––––––

    "My Dear Mrs. Budd,

In 1894 a friend of mine shipped as a deck hand on the steamer Tacoma, Captain John Davis. They sailed from San Francisco for Hong Kong, China. On arriving there he and two others went ashore and got drunk. When they returned the boat was gone. At that time there was a famine in China. Meat of any kind was from $1-3 dollars a pound. So great was the suffering among the very poor that all the children under 12 were sold to the butchers to be cut up and sold for food in order to keep others from starving. A boy or girl under 14 was not safe in the street. You could got to any shop and ask for steak-chops or stew meat. Part of the naked body of a boy or a girl would be brought out and just what you wanted cut from it. A boy or girl's behind which is the sweetest part of the body and sold as veal cutlet brought the highest price. John stayed there so long he acquired a taste for human flesh. On his return to N.Y. he sold two boys one 7 and one 11. Took them to his home stripped them naked tied them in a closet. Then burned everything they had on. Several times every day and night he spanked them—tortured them—to make their meat good and tender. First he killed the 11 year old boy, because he had the fattest ass and of course the most meat on it. Every part of his body was cooked an eaten except head - bones and guts. He was roasted in the oven (all of his ass), boiled, broiled, fried, stewed. The little boy was next, went the same way. At that time I was living at 409 E. 100 St. near—right side. He told me so often how good human flesh was I made up my mind to taste it. On Sunday June the 3—1928 I called on you at 406 W 15 St. Brought you pot cheese—strawberries. We had lunch. Grace sat in my lap and kissed me. I made up my mind to eat her. On the pretense of taking her to a party. You said Yes she could go. I took her to an empty house in Westchester I had already picked out. When we got there, I told her to remain outside. She picked wildflowers. I went upstairs and stripped all my clothes off. I knew if I did not I would get her blood on them. When all was ready I went to the window and called her. Then I hid in the closet until she was in the room. When she saw me all naked she began to cry and tried to run down stairs. I grabbed her and she said she would tell her mamma. First I stripped her naked. How did she kick—bite and scratch. I choked her to death, then cut her in small pieces so I could take the meat to my rooms. Cook and eat it. How sweet and tender her little ass was roasted in the oven. It took me 9 days to eat her entire body. I did NOT fuck her tho I could have had I wished. She died a VIRGIN."

Albert Fish is known as one of the most violent and most evil serial killers ever. Not only did he kill and rape children, he practiced cannibalism as well. Albert Fish was born on May 19, 1870, and was executed in January of 1936. Over this time he created a reign of terror that is still studied yet not understood today.

Fish's mental issues can be traced back to his childhood. His parents were older when he was born. His father was 75 years old by the time Albert was born. His father was 43 years older than his mother. During the majority of his childhood, he was raised in an orphanage.

Fish's family has a history of mental illness. His uncle was diagnosed with mania and he had a brother that was committed to a mental institution. His sister has what was referred to as a mental affection. Even his mother was said to suffer from hallucinations.

When Fish reached the age of 12 his mother was able to take him home from the orphanage. At this time he and a teen boy practiced some strange behaviors. They would drink urine and eat feces. Fish started going to public bath houses to watch other boys in various stages of undress.

In 1890 Fish moved to New York City and earned a living as a prostitute. When he was not working he would rape teenage boys. Due to an arranged marriage he took on a wife and they ended up having six children but this did not stop Fish. While he got a legitimate job he continued molesting young boys. He also became fascinated with sexual mutilation. In 1903 he was sent to Sing Sing Prison on charges of grand larceny.

Fish got out of prison and began a sexual relationship with a 19-year-old man. A couple days after meeting the man Fish let his evil intentions take over. He tortured him over a two week period. Fish cut off the man's penis, tied a handkerchief around the wound and left for home. He never found out what happened to the man.

In 1917 Fish's wife left and he was a single parent raising six children. He remarried another woman and never got an official divorce from his first wife. He began to harm himself by inserting needles into his stomach and his groin. He had at least 29 needles that were discovered in his pelvic area by a later x-ray. While there is no evidence that he molested his own children, he did ask their young friends to spank him with a paddle that had nails inserted into it.

By 1919 Fish killed his first child. He killed an intellectually disabled boy after torturing him. A couple of years later he saw Beatrice Kiel, playing alone. She was eight years old. Luckily for this young girl, her parents chased him away. He tried to abduct two other boys but they were able to escape as well. During this time Fish stated that the hallucinations began in his mind. He started to hear voices that told him to rape and to kill children.

In 1928 Fish was reading the newspaper and saw that the Budd family was looking for help. There he saw young Grace Budd. He asked her parents if Grace could go with him to a family member's birthday party. They let Grace go and she never returned. Another man was arrested for the crime. Fish then sent her parents a detailed letter of how he molested and killed Grace. The police were able to use that letter to track Fish down and arrest him.

After Fish was arrested the horror of his crimes came out. He admitted to eating part of Grace. He also killed Francis McDonnell who was only 9 years old. He tortured and raped the boy before he finally died.

Billy Gaffney was 4 years old when Fish kidnapped and murdered him. The boy's body was never recovered. According to Fish he stripped and bound the young boy. He then made cuts on his stomach and drank the blood. He cut the body up and dumped it along the road. He also ate some of the boy's body. He said the parts that he ate provided him with food for four days. He said the penis tasted sweet but he was not able to chew the testicles.

In 1935 Fish went on trial for the murder of Grace Budd. He was considered to be one of the most psychiatrically unstable people ever to step foot in the courtroom. Not only did he rape and murder children, he violated and ate them. He would then write letters to the families telling them about the crime.

The jury did not question that Fish was insane. There was no doubt in anyone's mind that he was. They convicted him of the murders and voted for execution. He was found to be sane enough to understand what he was doing was wrong. He was sent to prison in March of 1935. By January 1936 he was executed in the electric chair. Fish did leave a final written statement that was given to his lawyer. The lawyer refused to make this statement public. He said it was one of the most filthy and obscene things that he has ever read.

Albert Fish was one of the evilest people to have ever lived. He prayed on the innocence of children. He would mutilate, rape, and murder them. When he was done he would cut up the bodies and eat them. What parts he did not eat he would throw away like trash. To add insult to this Fish would contact the families of his victims and write in detail how he killed the children. While Fish is said to have killed five children there may be more that no one has even found out about. Even almost a hundred years after his crimes were committed, Fish is still considered to be one of the evilest men that has ever lived.

    CHAPTER TWO THE SERIAL KILLERS

    What are serial killers?

With the increased cases of terror across the globe, you might have probably heard about serial killers. While this may not be a new term, it is hard to comprehend. We are here to help you understand what they are and give you an insight of what causes one to be a serial killer.

A serial killer in simple words, it is a person who commits three murders over a period that is more than one month. For example, if a gang shoots three people or his colleagues within five years, he is a serial killer according to this definition. However, based on the common conception, this term may not fit this individual. Theirs is not a crime of passion but rather doing it for the sake of killing. Based on the definition, it might be you have come across one or know the person.

Are serial killers born with the idea or is it upbringing?

People always wonder if serial killers are born that way, or it is the way they are brought up. First and foremostly, they are humans. But it is hard to comprehend what motivates serial killers to commit murder. A recent study has suggested that most serial killers experience a sense of indifference from the humanity around them that indicates they fight to sympathize with their victims. Dr. Richard Davidson's research of 2000 shows that even if the surrounding will affect a serial killer's thinking, it is a murderer's hereditary makeup that unavoidably creates evil thoughts.

Upbringing factors can also contribute to one becoming a serial killer. A study that differs with the belief that serial killers are born found out that some of them had a loving childhood and had no genetic signs of such behaviors. Some of them were found to have grown up lonely and isolated. Kids who grow up in families that are frequently engaged in fights are likely to become violent and vicious.

Are some people wired to commit murder over and over again without feeling or remorse?

Up to this point, it appears that serial killers have brains that make them more prone to rage and anger and makes them unable to exercise self-control. The brain of a murderer does not respond with fear or facial expressions as often as ours do. This is what keeps serial killers from feeling remorse since they don't realize or see that they are causing sadness or pain.

Why do monsters walk among us?

While we all want to live in a murder free society, it is hard to achieve such a state because monsters are walking amongst us. Some of the reasons why this could be happening are because many of us have no idea what happens inside our neighbors' homes. We often believe that we can easily spot dangerous people.

    Conclusion

Many researchers have come up with different facts about serial killers. But it appears that hereditary tendencies towards aggression, as well as an abusive childhood, are a killer combination. So we can say, serial killers, are both made and born.

    CHAPTER THREE CARL PANZRAM

-I wish you all had one neck and that I had my hands on it.  -Carl Panzram

Carl Panzram, born in 1891 lived a very short life but committed horrible atrocities in his time. He was executed on September 5, 1930, at age 39 for murdering a prison employee. So even after Panzram was incarcerated, he showed no sign of repentance.

Panzram is alleged to have sodomized 1000 men and boys. He was a hopeless pervert who got off on raping anyone of the same gender. He also bragged that he murdered 21 men, although these numbers could never be confirmed.

He was born in Grand East Forks Minnesota and resided on a farm with his parents and five siblings. When he was just 12, he already started exhibiting anti-social behaviors. He stole items from a neighbor such as food and a gun.

His parents hoped that he could be set straight on the right path. They sent him off to Minnesota State Training School. However, this maneuver served to seal his fate as a mixed up young man with a cross to burn. At the school, he was beaten, tortured, and raped by the staff. Other attendees seemed to report similar experiences. They called the room that they were beaten in the Painting Room because those that left were marked up so colorfully with blood and bruises.

It was no surprise that a man with a proclivity to violence would then react by burning the entire institution down. Panzram was not charged with the arson though, so his crime spree had only just begun.

Panzram tried to numb the pain of his childhood with alcohol as a teenager. In doing so, Panzram became an alcoholic. He continued to commit crimes mostly of theft that got him on the police's radar. Apparently, though, the police did not see him as a liability to commit more atrocious offenses, else they would have kept a closer eye on him.

Panzram enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1907. He was allegedly drunk at the time he decided to try out for the country's law enforcement. It is an extremely ironic choice for someone who had such a checkered past. Perhaps he was trying to put the past behind him or maybe it was just another thrill seeking venture to him.

His stint in the army was not surprisingly short lived. He committed larceny and was sent to prison for two years.
