Finding the Force that Drives Us
CHAPTER ONE:
Purpose
Your purpose in life is to find your purpose and give your whole heart and soul to it.
-Gautama Buddha
Each of us has a purpose, though yours may not be crystal clear to you yet. Maybe that’s why you started reading these pages. Don’t worry! One of the focuses of this book is to help you clarify and articulate your purpose. In my mind, purpose goes beyond personal motives (making money, getting a promotion, buying a fancy new car), and reaches outward to others, focusing on the betterment of the world. When I refer to purpose throughout this book, I am talking about this larger kind of purpose—the kind that stretches beyond the self and strives to make a positive
