About this ebook
Skylar was in the process of getting her inherited plantation ready for sale when she discovered an old sea chest in the attic. It was full of vintage clothes, but since Skylar didn’t have any use for the old clothes, she sold the sea chest to a young woman named Savannah.
Later, when Savannah emptied the chest, she discovered a false bottom containing an ornate box and some ancient documents wrapped in an oilcloth. Thinking this might be some family heirlooms, Savannah contacted Skylar to share her discovery. The small decorative chest was full of jewels and the ancient documents included a map leading to an island somewhere in the middle of the ocean. Once they found out that the sea chest apparently belonged to a famous female pirate, Skylar, Savannah and Savannah’s daughter Annie decided to travel to the island. They wanted to see if the map might lead them to a pirate treasure.

Prologue
I’m ready for another story about Sammy and Tommy,
Becky announced. Did they ever find out what happened to the pirate One-Eyed Jack?
Let’s get you tucked into bed first,
Becky’s father laughed. If I keep you up past your bedtime your mother might make me sleep on the couch.
So what did they find out about the pirate, Daddy,
Becky wanted to know. Why was she on that island?
Well, everyone on the island was asking the same question,
her father continued. What they didn’t know is that their questions were about to be answered by a woman named Skylar. Do you remember the woman who found out she was the twin sister of the big game hunter Reggie?
I remember you saying that some woman found some papers in an old shoebox,
Becky replied. Is that who you are talking about?
Yes, that’s who I meant,
he answered. "The woman’s name was Skylar and she was getting the plantation her parents left her ready to sell. That’s how she found the old shoe boxes along with a bunch of trunks and old furniture in the attic. One of the trunks she found was an old sea chest that she sold to a woman named Savannah.
The old chest was filled with vintage clothes and the woman Savannah was planning to donate the clothes to her daughter Annie’s drama club. Skylar didn’t have any use for the old clothes or the chest so it didn’t take much for her to sell the whole thing without going through everything first.
Imagine Skylar’s surprise when Savannah called Skylar the next day and asked her to come to her house. Without giving a detailed explanation, Savannah just told Skylar that it was important.
Chapter 1 - Yo Ho Ho
When Skylar got the phone call from Savannah asking her to come to her house as soon as possible, Skylar had no clue what could be wrong. All Savannah would say is that she discovered something unusual about the sea chest and felt that Skylar needed to see what she found hidden in the chest.
Curious, Skylar rushed over to the
