Inspired by Annabelle

‘My daughter Annabelle was the inspiration for Bella,’ writes subscriber Anne John-Ligali.

‘Writing about characters that are the same age as my kids came with ease. Annabelle’s part in the cowriting process is brainstorming, she is the best brainstorming buddy ever. She’s funny, full of excitement and because she reads tons of books she brings the best ideas to the table. I love working with my daughter.

‘Bella’s Big Caribbean Adventure is the second book in the series. The story is about how three best friends spend their summer holidays on the Caribbean island of St Vincent.

‘Bella is accompanied by her mum, Isabel, Granny Sylta, and best friends Tommy and Iris. They have been invited to Isabel’s best friend Clara’s wedding.
