About this ebook

Wouldn't it be great if fatherhood came with a manual?

Sure, there are plenty of parenting books on the market. There are whole college courses devoted to child development and the ins and outs of communicating with people young and old, but there's no better way to learn to be a parent than to do it.

Good, bad, not-quite-right, or by some strokes of luck, almost right, fatherhood isn't always disastrous. In fact, it's the most rewarding thing a man can do. Add in a little sugar and spice and raise a daughter and you've got a recipe for failure if you're not careful.

Raised Smart from a father's point of view is my experience in a little thing called parenting a daughter from a dad's perspective. I'm  here to tell you it's the best thing I've ever done successfully.

This book offers insight into what worked, what didn't quite go as planned, and how bringing up a daughter changed my life in ways I will forever be grateful for. From learning to play freely to learning to accept that some things are fine just the way they are to learning to connect to another part of yourself that you never knew existed.

The journey will open your eyes to the world and will provide gifts that will last you a lifetime.

Create memories with your daughter. Enjoy the journey. Embrace the process and trust yourself to do it right. Take it from someone who has raised a thoughtful, bright, loving, compassionate, young woman who is ready to take on the world and knows she can always count on her perfectly imperfect father at a moment's notice, because he's always been there for her.

This book is for any man who wants to raise a strong, confident, resilient daughter and wants to be the best father he can be.

    About the author

    Authors note

    Preface

When all of a sudden, our child emerged from the womb, the doctor and I simultaneously said, it’s a girl. It’s a girl! When our daughter was born, my wife and I were both shocked and happy. My wife was expecting for 41 weeks. The average gestation age being 37 – 40 weeks, naturally the doctor did not want her to go a day over that.

At that point, my life changed forever in a good way! All during her pregnancy, everyone thought it would be a boy. Since we were both old-fashioned, we did not want to know the sex beforehand, so it was surprising to say the least. Being a man myself, I was hoping for a boy, as I thought I would be able to relate to him better and be more accustomed to his upbringing.

I learned that having a girl is actually a blessing in disguise. Having a girl opened my eyes to a new phenomenon I had never envisioned before. How a girl grows, what a girl needs, how girls differ from boys, how girls are more mature than boys and so on.

Something profound came over me right after she was born. As an eager father, I was not only ready to raise a daughter, but also learn everything I could about girls - and I did. I want to share with you how I raised my daughter, to help other fathers out so you too can raise a smart and happy daughter. A daughter who loves you, who cares for you, who is independent, and can think analytically is wonderful to have and I will show you how to raise your daughter the way I did.

Raising a daughter is not as easy as it is raising boys. I know I may have just offended fathers who have raised boys, and I am not taking anything away from you. Plain and simple, girls are far different than boys.

Girls are a whole new world compared to boys. You must throw out everything you know about boys when raising girls. My wife and I spoke about how we wanted our daughter to be the best she could ever be. We wanted to give her all the tools she needed in life and just let her find her calling and succeed with them. We wanted our daughter to be happy. We wanted our daughter to think analytically. We wanted our daughter to be independent and on her own when she is 18.

My wife and I have devised a plan in which we’ll both teach her differently. I would have my style, and she would have her style of teaching her. When our daughter was with her grandparents, they would have their style too. The reason behind this method is that you want her to learn something different from everyone. As she grows older, she will blossom into her own self.

This book is mainly for fathers because the bond between fathers and daughters is quite considerable, but mothers will also find useful, invaluable information in it as well. Parenting is one of life’s greatest joys but, developing that strong relationship with your children, especially daughters, is not a piece of cake. Raising a daughter is an еnоrmоuѕ tаѕk for mоѕt реорlе.

A child who is defiant, stubbornly refuses to cooperate, and ignores simple rеquеѕtѕ can make every dау fееl like an uphill battle. This bооk is written for you, bесаuѕе at a раrtiсulаr роint in my life, I also needed a bооk like this; a bооk that will guide us men on how to rаiѕе our daughters to be
