Chapter 1

My eyes locked into the sexiest honey brown eyes...

Working a night shift at the radio station wasn't a regular for me but being one of the hottest DJs at Radio Turks and Caicos in the capital island of Grand Turk, I didn't really have a choice. Not like I had much of a social life outside of school anyways. I was studying to be a nurse yet indulged in my love of music.

My mind drifted back to earlier in the day. I was sitting under the clock tower, a popular hangout spot which overlooked the salt ponds, enjoying some lunch while watching my friends laugh at a joke someone told. I wasn't paying too much attention to the conversation as I was caught up in my own thoughts of what I would be doing this evening. As the college school bus drove by, I felt a prickling at the back of my neck. For some reason, I had the inexplicable urge to look behind me which I did. Approaching my direction entering into town was a blue jeep compass I recognized as belonging to a friend of mines by the name of Shante, however it wasn't her driving. My eyes locked into the sexiest honey brown eyes I had ever seen through the driver side window. My lips involuntarily parted and I felt the urge to swallow. I got a glimpse of the dark Adonis driving and it felt like my soul had been sucked out of my body. My eyes followed the jeep as it drove up to Mr C’s liquor store and parked. I kept my eyes on it like a hawk waiting for the beautiful creature to emerge so I could take a full look at him. Suddenly Shante appeared in the entrance of the store and proceeded to walk to the passenger side of the jeep. After jumping in, they remained parked there in what I assumed was conversation.

I quickly pulled out my cell phone.

WOMAN WHO IS THAT IN THERE WITH YOU???

I sent via text. I prayed and pleaded with God that it was not her boyfriend, although I had never heard her mention seeing someone. After a few minutes which felt like a few hours, a reply back.

That's my god brother. Says he wants to meet you.

Oh Jesus, thank you God, Holy Shit, Ah Fuck…my mind was a mixture of curses and praises. At this point in time, I had no clue what to do. I was thinking of what to send back while checking to see if my clothes wasn't looking askew on me.

GIRL BRING YOUR ASSES HERE!!! LOL

I made sure to put that LOL on the end so I didn’t sound desperate. I received no further response but watched as they pulled out of the liquor store's parking lot and proceeded to make their way to me. I closed the lid of my food plate and pretended to act nonchalant while my heart was beating triple time in my chest.
