Marko Van Goth

There is a lot to tell, but every life is a story on its own, so let's stick to the basics. What is his real name and where does he come from is not of importance. What you need to know is what he actually is, but how can you know that if he can’t really decipher that himself. Just like all of you, he's a bit of everything and everybody. He is simply persistent in being himself. He has delved into many things, vocations, crafts, arts, trades… therefore, he used many tools of the trade: various musical instruments, cameras, camcorders, brushes, pencils, drills, sandpaper, medical ventouses, massage oils… but two tools that he loves the most and raise above all are his brain and his two hands. Without the subtle combination and correlation of the two, you wouldn’t be reading this right now, many people wouldn’t enjoy his arts and crafts and some people would still be walking the streets not knowing what is that little thing they needed to be healthy. So you could label him as a bit of a healer, a bit of an artist, a bit of a craftsman, etc. But most importantly, he is an observer, a doer and a creator. Many things happen to him during one single day and he had a lot of days in his life, so by observing, doing and creating, he will transfer his experiences to you. It is up to you to gather the little pieces of knowledge that he gives you from time to time, and make the best of it.

    A WORD FROM THE AUTHOR

This book is a summary of the stories I wrote in the past years. Just before it was published I checked the date when I wrote the first story. It was January 8. 2010. Now, a few years later, you’re holding this book in your hands, reading through the seeds of my imagination, and helping them grow. I thank you for that from the bottom of my soul.

Many thanks to my family and friends who were there when I needed as much support as I could get while I was trying to publish this book. But I would especially like to thank all the people that were my inspiration to write these stories. Even though their names are not mentioned anywhere in the book, they recognized themselves and they know that they will keep on living through my words.

I promise I will not stop writing, and I will have much more in the years to come. I hope you enjoy reading these stories as much as I enjoyed writing them.

    PARTY TIME

The night came. Party time!!, he shouted with a big smile on his face. We were preparing for this party for days. The people who visit these events on a regular basis said that there will be some good DJs playing records. I never cared much about DJs, but I could always have a good time no matter what music is playing, as long as the beat can ignite my primal drive to move my body. Women and drinks are always present, so I didn’t really have to worry about that.

I was tired and not in the very good mood to party, but I knew that I could always count on a chit-chat with an entirely unfamiliar person, and still have my share of fun my way. Come on, man, cheer up! We’re gonna have one hell of a time!, my friend said. I just made a tired, lazy smile, looking into his eyes full of enthusiasm for the upcoming party, but thinking to myself: I’m not up for a party, but, what the hell… Let’s go.

I was yawning on my way to the car, trying to catch some air, but everything changed once we entered the car. My friend had a plan on how to lift my spirit. He played some of my favorite songs on the car stereo. I was bouncing in the passenger seat in a matter of minutes.

We came to the party, but it was still warming up. The music was not so loud, there were only some people present and the bar was still pretty much free to take or make anything you want. After introducing myself to the guests I went to make myself a refreshing drink. The first sip just hit the spot, so I went to have a conversation with some girls my friend introduced me to.

The time passed by and the party warmed up. I was looking at my friend having the time of his life… Dancing, drinking, flirting… I had my share of fun with dancing, drinking and flirting, but I always kept returning to that one girl I met as soon as we arrived. Nothing much. Just to make a toast, dance with her for a minute or two, make her aware that I’m still here.

What the hell are you doing? There are so many girls around, and you got stuck to this one. Go, hit on something better than that., my friend said to me, politely trying to tell me not to have anything with her, but I didn’t get it. I kept dancing and talking to her for the rest of the evening. At one point of time she disappeared for a few moments and he came to me angrily, to tell me a single thing: She’s not worthy of you. She’s just a little attention freak. I looked at him having the same tired, lazy smile on my face, saying: She’s a nice girl. Don’t you think that I can handle myself? Nice of you to act as my conscience, but remember one thing. I’ve shared my bed, even my life, with much worse than her. What can a little attention freak do?

He wanted me to have fun the way he thought was best for me, meaning bring one of the easy girls home, but I just needed to sleep alone. Well, that’s not what happened. As soon as she came back, she kissed me saying Take me home. I didn’t think twice. We rushed out of the party catching the first taxi that came by.

I felt a little bad for not saying goodbye to my friend, but I knew that, of all people, at least he’d understand and I hoped that he won’t come home for a little more while. She was jumping all over me in the back seat of the taxi kissing me with her scorching
