About the Book
Funny how things come around. Now here I am nearing the end of 2017 finishing up my 17th book for two years. To some that may seem like an impossible task...well for me...I guess I have just had a hell of a lot to say about so many things...past...present ...and future..So here I am sitting at Sunset...under the newly covered deck looking out over the parking lot and watching the cars speed up and down SC 170 just taking it all in...

No need to guess
There's something about a beautiful mess
Funny how things come around. Now here I am nearing the end of 2017 finishing up my 17th book for two years. To some that may seem like an impossible task...well for me...I guess I have just had a hell of a lot to say about so many things...past...present ...and future..So here I am sitting at Sunset...under the newly covered deck looking out over the parking lot and watching the cars speed up and down SC 170 just taking it all in...This has been my home away from home as home is only where you lay yor head...for the past few years and thinking about all that has gone on or not...although have been dragged out of here a time or two to explore other places..Savannah and Beaufort...to name the most important...but it all comes back to here...
All the players have been the same...well except for my Sunshine of course...Got to give credit where credit is due...Stacy...a lot of this is straight because of you.
Now of course Buttercup pussycat and my butterfly are still from where a lot of my strength comes from...I could never thank them enough.
With the coming dawn
Wishing the night could just linger on
Maybe without any reason
Except it could just be the season
I would be a liar
If I told you I hadn't noticed the fire
But as it can only inspire
In a way that I never tire
As no one knows
Until one does propose
As time stops or at least slows
Keeping you on your toes
But there's no need
For that kind of speed
Wherever it all can lead
Together we'll write the only book to read
Sometimes it's just like spinning wheels
Or at least how it feels
Just looking for something to grab
Or at least take a stab
Only friends with me
Well that's no way to be
When there are other things to see
Better to share some of that beauty
No need to be sure
What may lie in store
Is different than before
When you thought you knew much more
So why not leave it with might
And keep it all there in sight
May not be perfect but it's right
Somewhere in the night
Give it time and you'll see why
I am not like some other guy
So why not make a try
But you've got to walk before you can fly
Not saying I have it all
A little more short than a lot tall
Not the same on the floor only against the wall
I'll leave that to your call
No chance would be worse to miss
Nothing wrong with a caress and kiss
Now that would be wrong to dismiss
If it didn't come down to this
Still I'll be saying
Not a game I am playing
The choice is yours to be weighing
Just tell me no need for praying
Your wish is my command
But wait that could get out of hand
Then again at least that wouldn't be bland
And you know I could use a hand
Just wish and you will get
Watch out one like me you haven't met
Might make another bet
For something I don't know yet
If you name the time and place
You know you'll find my smiling face
Keeping it all with some form of taste
Or not should it be the case
Keep your eyes open
And watch my pen
Time will come to close them when
That feeling comes around again
Would you do
Just a little of that voodoo
And I'll make like it's true
That I know some too
Might just take a little
