Loved it but it feels unfinished, there are so many unanswered questions, so many stories waiting to be told.

Chapter One

Kitty Black stared in the full-length mirror in her tiny apartment in Winona, Minnesota and sighed. As a female black panther, it was normal to be curvy. The males didn’t want something skinny, but would she ever find the right male to love all of her? Not someone that just wanted her for her breeding heritage and her cat form.

She turned slowly around in a circle, looking at her new home. Kitty had left her pride over a month ago, refusing to allow the newest male to think he could take what he wanted. No, Kitty wanted a man who loved all of her and only her. Not the whole damn female population.

So what if I’m selfish. I want a home, children, she mumbled to herself. Daddy had promised her, but in the end, she was set aside as he went after the newest female in their pride. No, if Kitty had to get what she wanted by dating a human, then so be it.

Kitty couldn’t be prouder of her first apartment. She had worked her butt off, not letting others know she was saving to leave. Nope, she hadn’t touched a penny of her father’s or mother’s money. She was nothing like her mother; she loved the life of leisure even if it meant that she would have to produce another child every five years.

She stepped to the window, looking out at the snow, and shivered. Kitty was not used to the cold. Hot weather would always be her favorite, but she figured no one would come this far north to search for her. She had changed her name three times, had three different IDs, settling down after a month of covering her tracks.

Satire Krasp, her real name, was well known in the human world and her world. She had been the first female born to her father’s family in over a hundred years, and she’d been totally spoiled. But Satire had learned early on wealth didn’t mean shit if you didn’t have the love of your parents. Sure, she loved her mom and father.

As a mother, Satire would make sure she’d be there when there were bad dreams, needed help in school, or their first dance, and she’d make sure not one male would get near her girls until they were ready.

At twenty-two, Satire’s body was ready to have children, but she refused to do it just because it was a call of nature, nope. She wanted love.

Crap, she said, running around, putting on her coat, boots, and hat. She had actually landed a job within the first two days of being there, and one she was good at. How could she not be good, since, for the last six years, she had managed part of her father’s company until her asshole brother came along and said her place was to have children, be pampered, not work.

She laughed, closing and locking her door as she
