About this ebook
He was the high school bad boy ... and the boy she fell in love with.
Sheriff Savannah “Savvy” Douglas fell in love with a bad boy who walked out of her life. Ten years did little to dull the feelings she had for him. But a year ago he stopped calling and texting, leaving her with nothing but questions.
Dr. Brody Collins was about to return to the town he grew up in ... and the town where the love of his life still resided. He’d broken all communications with her for a year when his past caught up with him. But he was ready to rectify the situation.
Will Savvy forgive him and give them the chance they lost out on ten years ago?

The Past
Cicada Lake High School
Cicada Lake, Pennsylvania
The bell pealed, sending desks scraping over beat-up vinyl flooring. A rush of teenagers entered the hallways in a mad rush to get out of school for the summer. Kids shouted and yelled, bidding their goodbyes to the teachers and staff. Except for two students.
I carried Todd Harrison’s backpack while he maneuvered out of the classroom with his crutches. Though he swore the incident was an accident, I suspected that Brody Collins was the cause. Brody was the resident school badass. He was in trouble more than he wasn’t.
Todd made an easy target for Brody. While most of the boys had begun to grow facial hair and become muscular and manly, Todd remained thin and gangly. He wore wire-rimmed glasses and braces crossed his teeth. He became the quintessential nerd.
None of that bothered me. While Todd was the nerd, I was the tomboy. If you asked me, dresses were made in Hell and pink was meant for cotton candy only. Having an older brother who allowed me to play tackle football and ride BMX bikes with him helped further me from all things girly. And I was fine with it.
While the popular
girls wore brand name clothing that accentuated their female parts, I wore print screen t-shirts, homemade cut-off shorts, and canvas tennis shoes. My blonde hair was pulled into its signature look—a ponytail that hung to the middle of my back.
Dalton and your sister have their first date tonight,
I commented as me and Todd entered the service elevator that was also used for disabled students.
Tandy will fall hard for your brother,
Todd admitted as the door closed in front of us.
My brother likes them tall and blonde with big boobs. All of which your sister has.
The elevator car lurched as it began its short descent to the floor below.
Isn’t he taking her to the movies?
Todd asked as the car stopped and the door opened. He passed the threshold of the elevator and
