About this ebook
When I sat down to write this book for my good friend, the first question I asked myself is, "What exactly is inner game?" Oh, sure, I've seen the term thrown around enough and I'm sure many people reading this have as well. But by definition, what is inner game exactly? It bothered me that I couldn't answer this question so readily. A wiki search and a dictionary search both proved pretty useless.
So after a day or so of meditation, the best definition I can give is this: your inner game is your emotional state as it stems from your perceptions of yourself and the world around you.

Mastering the True Inner Game - Matt parker
INTRODUCTION
We all know Writing a book is quite easy right? All we need is a beautiful idea, a charged laptop and a cup of coffee. Well it might not be as easy as it sounds! When it first occurred to me to write this book on behalf of my bosom friend, I had to ask myself a few questions of which surprisingly, I had no ready answers to. The first of them was, What exactly is the Inner game?
Of course I have heard the phrase Inner Game
several times just as you must have too, but could you define it? I couldn’t and it bothered me. It bothered me that I could not give a definition from the top of my head! So I did the usual and simple thing everyone does, GOOGLE! Yes, I went to Google. On getting there, most available answers were intangible. To cut all these stories short, it took me a day of deep thinking and reflection to come up with a plausible definition of what the inner game meant and this is it: The Inner game is an emotional state which stems from our individual perceptions of ourselves in relation to the things around us.
A perfect graphic example to explain what the Inner Game is all about is that of a Professional Daredevil. Now, imagine our Daredevil has a cool black bike with which he wants to jump over a long school bus. In theory, He is obviously well trained, skilled, knowledgeable and as well experienced. In simple terms, he could be your go to stunt man! A combination of all his adequacies shows he is capable of performing this stunt but there is a bit of problem, he doesn’t believe enough in himself. He has a weak inner game. Success we all know first begins in the mind. If he doesn’t see himself actually doing this stunt, he cannot perform it! If he doubts himself and questions whether he could actually do it, do you think he would? Let’s take it a notch higher and imagine he actually takes the forward step with a huge block of doubt weighing his shoulders down, the probability that he would fail has more than tripled! And when he indeed fails, it acts as a further confirmation that he was right at first to doubt his ability. This rule also applies to approaching women. If the perfect
guy full of wit and charm doesn’t acknowledge to himself that he is capable of attracting a targeted girl but instead is busy doubting himself, his confidence and
