Claudia Mastromauro is a mother, wife and female business leader. She is currently Director of Media Operations for the EMEA at Lastminute.com and has over a decade of experience in the media sector. Claudia loves to form new connections around the world, a homage to her Italian routes, and is passionate about mentoring women in business so that they can get the most out of their careers. Alongside her ‘9-5’ work, Claudia is on a mission to empower mothers in their careers, believing that all women should have equal opportunities in the workplace. Claudia loves to share her own experience in returning to work and receiving a promotion after just six months back in the office to inspire other women to follow suit and become strong female leaders themselves. Claudia lives in South London with her husband and son, Valentino.

About Claudia

This year, 500,000 women will be pregnant whilst working in the UK. Each of these women will go on to face the conflicting pressures of their career vs. motherhood, often with little help and guidance to support them in excelling at work whilst striking a balance for both family and work life.
I’m a firm believer that women should feel empowered not just to return to work but to return to work and be incredibly successful in their careers. As both mothers and independent women it is perfectly natural for us to want to progress professionally whilst still loving and caring for our children.
My Story
My name is Claudia Mastromauro. I have worked in digital media for over a decade and, in November 2017, said goodbye to my team at Lastminute.com three days before my due date as I headed out on maternity leave, safe in the knowledge that I had done all I could to prepare them (and myself) for the months ahead. Six months after returning to work post baby I received a promotion to Director of Operations for EMEA.
Don’t get me wrong, I am no superwoman. This wasn’t an easy achievement for me. It was the result of months of hard work and preparation. I made countless mistakes across the way but there were also countless lessons too. I want to share some of those with you here in this ebook to
