About this ebook

Transparency has finally come to American politics, and its not what we imagined.  Corruption of any and all sorts has come out of the closet and it's old school fashion from around the Dark Ages. Circa '1384'?  Don't let Big Father catch you reading this.

Retirement has provided the opportunity to take the plunge I have longed for-- to immerse myself in the waters of creative writing. Whether torpedoed, or not, it is a mental medium that may prevent torpidity from setting in.

    Politics, Intrinsically Greedy Sexists - D. Lionberger

    All About the Green

    ––––––––

    Emerald and ruby laser lights,

    Aurora Borealis eerily dancing on horizon.

    Are these cowboys shooting at its feet?

    Jet-black oil, from an unnatural platform,

    covers the sea, muting azure,

    blocking the sun’s light but absorbing its heat,

    crudely preventing cerulean fluid from bearing life.

    On the floe,

    ivory fur and virgin-dressed ice

    glisten and shine,

    still-steaming bloodstains spread

    in primrose symmetry where

    a polar bear pauses devouring its prey

    to listen to the strange sound,

    of a new, pumping pulse,

    larger than the great Blue.

    The white predator’s prey shudders,

    as the young seal's heart finally falters,

    sacrificing final crimson spurts to its

    summation of stains on the ice and snow.

    Inuit people shake their heads

    and stare, speechless,

    at the carbon-black spills

    spotting the once snow-white fields,

    trying to make sense of the blots,

    as if an Arctic Rorschach test.

    Audubon, Help This Old Eagle

    ––––––––

    Audubon,

    please help to heal this old bird;

    return the Great Bald Eagle
