Rescuing the Green & Blue Diamonds is the first adventure in a series of 7 Mighty Maggot books. The overall series takes children on a humorous, yet philosophical adventure, facing a number of Life Lesson challenges and learning about equality, diversity and humanity.
In this first adventure we meet two of the main characters, Mighty Maggot and Raven Explorer.
Raven Explorer is feeling sad and grumpy about life in general and hears a mysterious Voice.
The Voice whisks her away into Mind Space, where she meets its owner...Mighty Maggot!
Raven Explorer then embarks on a series of challenges which include clearing Mind Junk; releasing her Worry Thoughts; facing her Dragon of Fears and rescuing the Diamonds.
Mighty Maggot assists her along the way, with wise guidance and his Head Boxing Gloves!
Raven Explorer eventually discovers what she Truly Loves and her True Self.
I have included a few questions at the end of the book, to encourage a little reflection from your child about what they have learned about themselves having read the story.
